Food in here looks amazing, although we haven't eaten in here yet.We spent the afternoon in and out of here on a Saturday. There is a lovely seafood stall in the car park which is well worth visiting, and there is a pub garden at the back with a kids play area. We will definitely visit when in Dymchurch again.

Thank you for your feedback and rating Linda, you must be talking about Keith 'the Brummie' Barman. He is the life and soul at any party and certainly has a decent range of really bad jokes and has some funny stories about the pub. More

Visited The Ocean Inn on my visit to the Romney Marsh. Still as good as ever with the fish fresh off the boat. Good friendly service and a selection of wines. Always busy so get there early or late.

it is right by the beach and on a warm day you can sit outside, not sure if you can eat outside but my guess is you can. So far I have visited 5 times. I like the menu and the Chef is trying new things all the time without being pretentious. I was there when the staff had been... More

Thank you for your feedback and rating MrPatmac. We appreciate your comments. You are more than welcome to eat outside (if you can brave the weather!) all we need is the table number and the area, Garden or Terrace, on busy days, people will eat out the front of the Pub and even by the Seafood Stall in the car... Nice pub, wide selection of good home cooked pub grub and nice atmosphere. Own car park, very close to the beach (sea wall) and a shellfish stall in the car park 👍

On a wet Wednesday our little cycling group dropped in here grateful for warmth and shelter from the wind and rain. The Ocean Inn is not fine dining (the extensive laminated menu raises immediate suspicions of microwaved frozen food) but the fish is claimed to be fresh daily, and there are some tempting "specials" which look more interesting. The fish... More

Thank you for your feedback and rating JDGoodman. I think your review perfectly summarises us, we are not fine dining. We like to focus on tasty, honest pub food and we take pride that we are not like Harvester* (other brands are available) and we are an independently owned and run English Seaside Pub. We appreciate your comments. We look... More

Don't be put off by the exterior or decor of this pub, the food was excellent and the portions enormous! I tried the Kentish chicken which was lovely. The veg were a little bland and predictable and the public bar roudy as the football was on, however we sat on the family bar which was quieter. Dog friendly and pleasant... More

Have eaten here plenty of times over the years and always found the pub to be ok. Went for a quick family lunch today and once again food was lovely. My only complaint is... it's a little expensive, but there is always plenty of people eating there, so I don't blame them for charging a little more for the food

We visited this pub whilst on a day out with friends and all chose to sit in the garden. We all ordered food but each family paid for their own, and were advised of a 40 minute wait. The toilets were absolutely filthy and both the female and male toilets had broken toilets seats, whilst waiting with my 5 year old... More

We wanted somewhere to have lunch in Dymchurch as we were driving through. Saw some good reviews for this place, when we got there though the pub had a few old drunks propping up the bar and a couple of young teenagers sat in the corner and the menu didn't look so great. Quite dark and dingy. Not the most... More
