Wonderful Evening!

Whilst staying in Dymchurch we decided to have an indian meal at the Tandoori Hut. After trying to book a reservation I was told they were full, but several minutes later I was called back and informed that they could fit us in at an earlier time. I was impressed that they had made the effort to do that. There was a wonderful and friendly atmosphere in the restaurant and the waiter was fully attentive all evening despite waiting on several other tables. Social distancing was observed and we felt very comfortable. The food was delicious...Tandoori king Prawn Masala and Zuri chicken, with poppadoms, pickles, cucumber raita, sag aloo, a bottle of Rose and desserts and coffee plus liqueur. We had no idea it was Eat Out and Help out Mon-Weds, so lucky we went on Wednesday. The bill was half the price that we were expecting! A really nice surprise and a lovely experience.

Excellent birthday meal

Went to the Tandoori Hut for my husbands 55th birthday while we were on holiday. Didn’t book a table and popped in for an early dinner. Service was superb from start to finish and every dish we had was excellent especially the king prawn purée and mixed shaslic (as shown in pic). It’s a shame we live in Surrey or this would become our local. Many thanks for a lovely meal.

Delicious food!

We had a lovely meal here tonight. I was a bit dubious in advance but had read good reviews so decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised as the food was brilliant. I have to say everything we had was nicer than our own local favourite Indian. The onion bhajis were crispy but not oily and the prawns in my pathia were good quality plump ones. The waiter was really pleasant and welcoming and I couldn’t fault it at all - apart from maybe it was a bit lacking in atmosphere as it was very quiet (but it was 6pm on a very wet Sunday night so probably different at a busier time) the take aways were flying out the door though so obviously popular. Definitely recommend trying if nearby.

Order missing

Okay, the food actually is alright, it's just the fact it takes nearly 2 hours to arrive and then parts of the order are missing. Frustrating to say the least. The attitude of the staff when you call to tell them what's missing is awful, they really don't give a dam. The upshot of all this is, that you're takeaway meal is spoilt, and when you spend a fair bit of money its annoying to say the least. So sadly that's it. No more orders from me for Tandoori Hut.

Disappointing

We have just moved to the area and were hoping to find our forever Indian takeaway 😋 Unfortunately we were left wanting and will continue our search elsewhere? I ordered sag aloo which was so salty I thought I was being served seaweed, my Chilli Chicken Tikka was bland with overcooked chicken and minimal spices or flavour. Both my wife’s and daughters Lamb dishes were tough and over cooked too which tells us the meat was clearly reheated to the constitution of wood and just added to the generic sauces… We know this is just our personal opinions but in future We’ll be leaving this (Our local) Indian to others to judge for themselves, we just wanted to save someone from paying a higher price for an inferior product. Especially when we’re all having to tighten out belts in these uncertain times.

Excellent food, friendly service

Please ignore reviews of this restaurant prior to 2021, it is under new management. Very friendly service, excellent quality food. We received everything that we ordered, there were no delays and the food was hot, fresh and extremely tasty. I would recommend the Tandoori hut to anybody.

Good food, ok service

Whilst the food here was delicious we felt it was let down slightly by the staff and their lack of attentiveness. We asked several times for some replacement cutlery before we actually got any. And felt that the service was quite slow in general. Still despite this the staff were friendly and the food was fresh. We have since ordered for takeaway and we couldn’t fault that - again the food was delicious and the delivery man was was the happiest guy I think we’ve ever met, he left both me and my wife laughing after a long hard day.

And now I have confirmed…….

I will not be going back! We used to frequent this restaurant, however I have decided to call it a day! We ordered a takeaway in December, I ordered a sylhety lamb which gives a spice rating of 2 chillies, (fairly hot), I got chicken with no spice in a tomato based sauce. I emailed them to let them know, but did not get a response, so……….. wind on two months, decided to eat in………… Ordered a lamb sylhety, got dry chewy lamb in a tomato based sauce, no spice…….. I advised the waiter at the end of the meal, as that was the only time we were asked, only to be told, sometimes when you use chilli powder that’s new, it sometimes isn’t hot, really, never had that problem with mine at home. Needless to say I will not be eating here again! The price was good, but the food wasn’t!

Late delivery

We have been ordering takeaways from here for a number of years. The last time did not taste particularly good. However, this time we ordered at 6.05, it finally arrived at 8.15 and was cold. You shouldn't have to then microwave it! The vegetable madras had very lttle veg in it and my pathia was quite bland. We will be now be going elsewhere.

Very good food & service

This was the first time we had ordered a meal from the Tandori Hut in Dymchurch and we were not disappointed. We ordered a takeaway and it was delivered hot. The driver was professional and friendly. All the food tasted fresh and was tasty especially the paneer tikka. The restaurant staff were very helpful when we contacted them, thank-you. We would order from here again.

My nephew and I visited this evening as it's advertised on a board outside Sunday is Banquet night as a 5 course meal. After walking inside we was left standing for a few minutes untill we asked about the Banquet. We was rudely told it's not happening as they are doing the 50% off eat in so no other deals ( as if that should really matter ). The person who spoke to us is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. After he could be bothered to even acknowledge we was there he told it was full even though half empty. I'm sure a few of the customers looked appalled the way we was treated and was flabbergasted.

We called to pre-order a large order for a large group last weekend. The man on the phone was very friendly and helpful, the food arrived exactly on time delivered by a polite, friendly driver. All the dishes were very hot (as in not luke warm) and very tasty. Thank you.

Great simple Indian

We thought twice about coming her but really glad we did. Nice little place but the service was really friendly and the food very pleasant. Very busy when we went but the guy serving kept apologising (which wasn’t really necessary) and made us feel at home. Will come back if we are here again.

Our friend introduced us to this restaurant as it is local to him and well thought of by the locals. Very friendly people but the menu is rather long so we spent a good deal of time trying to choose, definitely not spoilt for choice. The food and service were very good so we will have to come back again to try a few different dishes. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Terrible customer service, that is the last time I order from here!

I have been a loyal customer to this restaurant for the past six months and too many times now have I been let down. Tonight we ordered a takeaway and yet again there was something missing! This is becoming an absolute joke. How can you be so incapable of putting an order together and checking it? After complaining and asking what they will do about this they soon inform me they are too busy to deliver this to me, even though we have just sat down to have our meal. Unbelievable. So instead they offer the exact money back, no apology or refund. Awful customer service and no courtesy whatsoever. If you like your meal all in one go do not order from here!!! They will happily take your money without giving you what you asked for! I gave them chances and made sure I looked after them. Never again. Absolutely Disgraceful. I can safely say I will NEVER be going back here again.
