We ate here a couple of times, and although they have quite a large menu we had the carvery both times. For £6.00 its good value.

The staff were nice but the atmosphere felt like 'we're open because we have to be' rather than 'we want to be' if that makes sense. I had a Beef filled Yorkshire pudding for £4.99 and it was full, the roast potatoes were cooked just right. Definitely value for money and it tasted nice. There was something about the place... The actual inside of the restaurant is nice, however I was left disappointed. The prices are very good, and there was a nice selection of carvery meats on the menu, I decided what I was having and went up for my food - I waited for agessss for someone to come and cut/serve the meat... Then when I ask for... More

Decided to visit the Neptune again which was great when we were on holiday a couple of years back. What a disappointment. Firstly we were told we could sit anywhere 'as were not busy', but still had to get them to wipe the table down and bring cutlery. Chicken was dry and overcooked, beef was the same, yorkshires were more... More

The carvery as previously mentioned is great value for your money and a selection of meats to choose from. You find a table select a meal from the menu note the table number and go to the bar and place your order for your meal and drinks, at this point you have to pay, no tabs. Pleasant surroundings, friendly polite... More

Had the Carvery there. Potatoes were not very nice. The Veg was very dry. The Drinks were nice and a good choice. Good taste in Music though. I would recommend if you go for the Carvery, make sure you get there early for the fresher food.

Been here a couple of times recently for a roast carvery & the food was very nice. I would recommend it. The carvery was about £7 with a choice of different meats & you can help yourself to the rest, as much as you like. There is a nice seating area outside & you can eat outside if you wish.... More
