Once again a lovely lunch and afternoon tea had with friends at the idyllic Haxted Mill. The clotted cream with jam and scones was delightful washed down with a bottle of Prosecco. Thank you David for a lovely afternoon.

Most enjoyable cream tea with fresh scones by the mill pond entertained by the Maitre Dog who insisted on fetching his ball as it was repeatedly thrown into water. Make a detour or go specially to a place where you can sit back and relax...More

This place is up for sale. What can be said apart from "what a shame" as it has always enjoyed an excellent reputation.
