Visited with friends on Friday evening, very welcoming owner and staff, food was delicious and plentiful and very good value for money too! We arrived at 6.30 and were advised we could have our table for the evening! Recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting an authentic & friendly Turkish restaurant . The complimentary shot/drink after the meal was a lovely touch too! We will be back!

After being around for about 40 years, this place is a Faversham icon. I could see why on my first visit.
The authentic Turkish food was fantastic, service was friendly and efficient, and the delightful owner made us very welcome.
Named after the restaurant's founder, George's set menu is a great way to sample Turkish fare for about £24.
You get a big serving of hot and cold meze followed by a mixed grill of succulent charred but moist meat, all rounded off with baklava and ice cream and Turkish coffee.
I partcularly enjoyed the lamb liver in the hot meze.
I cannot wait to return.

I have not visited this restaurant for over 30 years, and having been there last night I asked myself why on earth I had waited that long!!!! From the moment I walked in and the waiter asked to take my coat, the service was excellent. Nothing was a problem and too much hassle. The food was excellent and plentiful and we went for the house special which was great value for money. The manager came around and spoke to each table and gave a real feeling that our custom was appreciated. I can guarantee it won't be 30 years before my next visit!!!

Couldn’t rate this place more highly. Absolute 5* service and food. Visited this evening, everything was just perfect from the moment you walk in the door. Greeted with friendly staff and friendly atmosphere. Staff can’t do enough for you and take a genuine interest into each customer. The little girl helping to serve us was so cute, and again was a really nice touch to the dinner.
Food was absolutely beautiful, you could cut the chicken with a spoon. Never had Turkish food that good before. Cannot WAIT to return. Thank you so much!

The food was fresh, tasty, home cooked, reasonably priced and plentiful. We had the George Faversham meze, four courses for just under £24 per person. The owner and staff were also very attentive & welcoming.
I would definitely recommend a visit & will be returning next time I’m in Faversham.

Myself and 4 friends were meant to be eating somewhere else in faversham however were let down by the other eatery. So one of my friends suggested the kebab house restaurant instead, and I was apprehensive as I’d never heard of it before - I was wrong to be apprehensive as the food was amazing. We were unsure what to have, as wanted to try a bit of everything. Our waiter suggested the George’s special as you get cold mezze, hot mezze, a main and dessert for a great price. We shared a few of these and got an extra main to fill in gaps - it was the perfect amount. It was great to try different mezze options that we would have never tried before… and they were delicious - firm favourites were the beans, the aubergine dip and the feta parcels!
The waiters were more than helpful and would go out of their way to make sure we had enough to eat, but without bombarding us!
Thank you for a lovely evening, when we thought we were going to have to abandon our meal out!
We will definitely be back, and have already recommended it to others!
(It is quite small, and popular so make sure you book if possible!)

A Turkish delight! This beautiful little restaurant brought back dreams of more graceful times gone by. It's immaculate linen tablecloths and napkins. Stylish cutlery, expertly laid. Pale blue velvet furniture just gave a classic feel to the whole experience. Picture perfect service from such attentive waiters. Such a joy to be addressed as Madam and not 'guys'. To have your coat taken and then be helped to put it back on, rather than having to leave it hanging on the back of a chair dragging on the ground.
No wonder this place is so popular with it's generous menu of dips, salads, sausages, liver, pastries, grilled meats and very good Turkish wine.
Gentlemen, I salute you and can't wait to come back!

Went to the hops festival and came across this restaurant. A quick check of previous reviews and thought ‘why not!’
Staff were very polite and attentive. There was a set meal for the hop festival, on a couple of occasions the meal was referred to as a meze, which was a little confusing, because for a meze you are there for the afternoon for course after course. This was a 3 course meal, pleasant taster starter, followed by a choice of two meats with fries. A small but tasty dessert. All served very quickly for under £16 and we were ready for the crowds outside again. Not the best meal we have had but could see what they trying to do to maximise the opportunities the hop festival brings. Fair play and the customer service was excellent.

Have never been here before although my brother has, there were 9 of us dining and we all opted for the set meal which consisted of hot and cold meze, mixed grill or chicken shish, baklava and coffee all for £23.95 per person, all washed down with the Turkish house wine. Oscar was amazing and couldn’t have looked after us better. The food was lovely, we eat Turkish food regularly so know what to expect. It’s a small little restaurant, Turkish wine was a lovely surprise and we will definitely be back.

What can I say but 100%. From start to finish the experience was faultless, the food was prepared and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere and attention to detail was second to none. We had the George Special and special it was! Hubby said the lamb was the best he has had for years and the highlight for me was the tomato salad with the main (one of many) courses.
I would tell you to go there but that will stop us going again!
Book if you want a table as they are hard to come by for this restaurant that has been in Faversham for over 40 years.

This is the second time I have visited Faversham Kebab House Restaurant (first time was pre-Covid) and I have to say the food and service was exceptional. Quite possibly one of the best kebab meals I have ever had. The meat is moist and tasty, the accompaniments are all fantastic and the bread is amazing. I really could not fault anything that I ate. On top of this the prices are very reasonable. The owner is lovely, very humble and accommodating, you can tell he really enjoys serving good quality food and seeing people enjoy their meals. I will definitely be returning, sooner rather than later….!!!!

This is the second time we’ve visited this establishment, benefit of the doubt on the first visit however, the second visit was even worse.
The lady behind the counter has somewhat limited customer service skills and was actually quite rude, the food to be honest was pretty appalling (unsure how a simple Donna kebab could be made so wrong)….let alone the measly bit of salad..
I’ll definitely not return..

Following our regular visits to this little jewel of a restaurant, we decided to take over the whole restaurant and celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with all our family and friends.
Oscar organised a Belly Dancer on our behalf to entertain during the meal, the whole evening was a total success, from the excellent food which included serving 5 children to the excellent wine / beer served Oscar and his fantastic team made the whole event an extremely enjoyable evening which was enjoyed by all our guests. If you are thinking of a small family friends celebration for 32 guests you would not be disappointed. THANKYOU for making our anniversary memorable

Food - Excellent, the special hot and cold meze and mains were really nice, as was the dessert.
Service - Excellent, very attentive and welcoming.
Niggle - we were chargedsl separately for pide bread, which came with the starters.
This is annoying that you are charged for something, cost was minor, that you didn't request.
We would recommend for food and service, just ensure you are not charged for food you didn't request.
