I visit this friendly little cafe at least once a week, usually for cake and coffee, but also for breakfast and lunch. It is consistently excellent on all counts. Today I visited with a friend who has dementia and our preferred table in the front window was busy. Without hesitation we were taken to the conservatory where they switched on an overhead heater and gave us menus while we waited for a table to come free. Over and above service at all times.
The coffee is good,the cake is reliably delicious, veggie breakfast is my favourite and the lunches are wholesome and freshly cooked.
Prices are very reasonable and with the loyalty card system offered this brings even greater value.
Keep up the excellent work!

We are from the surrounding area and have been customers of Cosgroves since 2012 when we stumbled across it after having used some of the other cafes. What attracted us most was the cleanliness and choice of food. From that first visit we were taken aback with the friendliness of the staff and their approach to accommodate your requests if it was not on the menu. When we took my sister (who had to remain in her wheelchair) they went out of they way to make room for us. We have taken friends and other family members here and when they come back for a visit they always want to return. In 2020 a new chef and a reduced menu was introduced due to COVID and restrictions, and to accommodate his regulars he covered the quaint courtyard and installed heaters. The ambience is always warm and friendly no matter how busy they are, Steve the owner usually will be found talking and joking with his customers that are approachable. Most of all this is a family friendly cafe. The food is well presented tasty and good quality. The desserts and cakes, you can take it from me, are delicious I’ve tried them all. I note some reviewers have mentioned price, all in all I think the prices are average who hasn’t had to put up their prices recently. Overall Cosgroves is clean, friendly, and excellent value for money. His staff are superb. Well done everybody we’ll see you soon.

The breakfast menu is good with lots of optional extras. Standard veggie breakfast is home made sausage, 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, mushroom, tomato, beans and toast. I am a bit fussy about how my eggs are cooked and they were more than happy to accommodate me. I also swapped the sausage for halloumi. Unfortnately it got a bit cold while I was eating because the plate wasn't warmed. Coffee was nice, but I would have liked a bigger cup (but I am a caffeine addict!). I took some of their home made scones and cake home for my family because they looked so nice. Will be eating there again when I am in the area if only to try the coffee and walnut cake.

You cannot be referring to the same Cosgroves we frequent on a regular basis. Service is beyond reproach and the gentleman at the till would have pulled your leg about the mistake and probably said " Better luck next time mate" with a smile. He has a quirky sense of humour. I know!!! Please don't malign small businesses they are the life blood of our town and fortunately this one has a large regular clientele who value the excellent food and welcoming service. On a matter of English grammar, you "would have" not " would. of !! ".

Wanted a choice of snacks for a light lunch and we were perfectly catered for in this cafe. The soup was homemade as was the delicious coleslaw which came with our wraps. The small side salad was very attractive, and had a splash of salad dressing, so often missing. Great choice of fruit and other teas as well as a variety of coffees. Service was excellent and prices reasonable. Could have only have been improved with a Wholemeal wrap instead of plain white one. Highly recommended.

Visited for a quick lunch snack. Noted that the menu boards do not have any prices, but went ahead and ordered- 2 teas, one panini with tuna, one baguette with Brie.
Food and drinks were fine. But the bill came to £16.10.
With VAT down to 5 percent currently this is a very expensive place to eat, nice as it is, it is not in the Westend of London

Firstly the food and drinks in the cafe were very good. I was with my Mother and there was a misunderstanding. I went to use the loo before leaving and thought my elderly Mother had paid the bill, she thought I was paying and we both exited the cafe. We were stood outside the shop opposite looking in the window and chatting (not the actions of a Mother and Son doing a runner from a cafe to avoid paying)
Moments later the waitress entered street and informed us we had not paid for our food. My poor Mother was so embarrassed, the most honest lady you will ever meet. I promptly headed back inside to correct our honest mistake. I walked up to the waitress and said “I am so sorry”. She looked me up and down like I was a piece of turd on her shoe and just walked off. The gentleman behind the counter accepted my apology and took payment stating “don’t worry, it happens all the time, people sometimes return the next day to pay” something we would of done when we realised we had not paid. Lucky my Mother who was so embarrassed did not see the look that moody waitress gave, she already felt so bad.

After receiving several messages from you today telling me my waitress has not been punished we know she asked you to pay politely maybe speak up while there and not hide behind a screen a liar we really don't care what crap you write everybody k ows the truth so we look forward to your nxt terrible report in 3 months as you say nxt time pay before you leave and go elsewhere plz thanks for your fake review your other one is bad too you should get out more👌♥️

Today daughter and I went in for some brunch. I ordered omelette , my daughter wanted the bubble with ham and eggs. We specifically asked if there was onion in the bubble, the waitress went to check and came back saying no. My daughter was 1/4 of the way through and found what looked like onion.
She immediately stopped eating, I called the waitress and asked is this onion. She came back with no its leek. Surely they know its from the same family....

Quick sandwich stop on my own. Chicken bacon avocado and mayo on white crusty bread, probably the best sandwich I've ever eaten! Lovely staff, friendly, welcoming and very efficient. Sandwich made to order too.

Either on my own or with my husband I visit Cosgrove’s several times a week. The food and drink are excellent and you wouldn’t find nicer, friendlier staff. The owner values his customers and is always polite and friendly valuing his customers. I can’t recommend Cosgrove’s high enough. Always spotlessly clean.

Another visit to our favourite place to eat in Faversham .We have visited Steves place many times now and have never had a bad experience. Today's visit was another example of great food, and service.It was the busiest we have seen it and its great to see a great place has survived and continues to provide an excellent service to customers. We'll be back.

Today we visited Faversham what a lovely little town.
We looked around for somewhere we could stop for lunch which would also accommodate our dog. We came across this quaint little coffee shop in the high street and l popped in and asked if dogs are allowed to join us. The gentleman was so welcoming and found us a table and asked his waitress to get the dog some water before we'd even ordered.
The menu had a good variety of hot and cold food . Staff are warm and welcoming and checked on us several times to make sure we were happy with our meals.
We highly recommend this quirky little coffee shop and when visiting the town will pop in.🙂

Most cafe's or coffee shops have a cook. Some of the better ones have a chef. Cosgroves now has TWO chefs.
For the slower of thought that means the food is swiftly served and the quality is outstanding.
I have been coming for a while now and have yet to find a single fault beyond it not being especially local which precludes more frequent visiting.
If you have not been there, you owe it to yourself to rectify the issue.

Such a pleasant environment with superb food.
The staff couldn’t do enough.
Social distancing was also on point with sanitisers station on entry.
Will defo be returning as the food was excellent quality and delicious.
We all left with full warm happy belly’s

What a lovely place to visit! I had breakfast here this morning with family. The staff greeted us with a smile and promptly cleared the table of our choice. We ordered within 5 mins, and our food was ready within a further 15.
The owner was particularly friendly, he personally welcomed us and checked back on our meal.
I’d recommend this place to anyone and if you do visit, enjoy 😊
