Booked here as flying from Headcorn airfield and didn't fancy the "greasy Joe" breakfast... - although often we do! George and Dragon is not a gastro pub but rather quirky with better than average food and great service with reasonable prices. A good place for lunch and a pint in this area.

We found this by accident and were so impressed with the service. The décor is quaint, menu varied and good quality too. Would visit again if in the area. Big bonus was Biddenham cider on sale.

Given the immediate custom available in a growing Headcorn and the prices charged we should be expecting better. People travel out of the village to get better. We thought we would give it another chance, but........

We arrived last minute on bank holiday Monday and received a very warm welcome. This is a very pleasant pub (free house) with a good selection of beers. The staff were extremely friendly and the meals were good, with adequate portions. Desserts were great. Highly recommended.

We don’t tend to visit this pub/eatery so often and on this occasion just popped in after a fairly busy and long Sunday skydiving at Headcorn airfield, the bar/eatery on the airfield had stopped doing food at 6pm which seems bizarre on a spring weekend with fine weather but there you go their loss… In any case this pub, well... Fabulous service here. Lovely food, great menu. Couldn't fault it. Very welcoming. Each item on the Sunday roast was cooked to perfection.

Went if for Sunday roast which at £10.50 which is not cheap, food arrived fairly prompt but measily portions, tiny cube of stuffing,Yorkshire pud like cardboard, and chicken dry. When asked if meal was ok I just said the chicken was dry and offered a free coffee!! Gents toilets were disgusting holes in the ceiling and light fittings hanging down!... More
