Always lovely and friendly. Good bacon sandwiches and leaf tea in a pot. Cream teas are £5 each for a homemade scone and pot of tea. 1940s themed. Recommended.

Came to this wonderful little tea shop by chance, my advice? Make a point of going it is fantastic! We had delicious cheese and bacon scones, served warm on pretty crockery. The staff were friendly and dressed in theme. It has a lovely small garden as well, oh and make sure you visit the loo for an interesting read! Board... More

Well this was my third visit to The Vintage Empire. My best buddie wanted somewhere different for us to have tea and cake. I recommended here and she loved it. She told them it was an early birthday tea for me and the lovely staff came and sang Happy Birthday to me. What a surprise.. We had a lovely Vera... More

We visited this place after reading the good reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming and the food was great. It's a small place but has a nice cosy, very English, feel about it. The whole place is done out in 1939-45 war-time memorabilia and music from that era was playing softly... More

Had a wonderful time at the tea rooms, enjoyed great scones and tea and played snakes and ladders whilst we ate them, what more could you ask for? Go there and enjoy yourselves.

We had a nostalgia trip to Herne Bay having lived there a few years ago and came upon The Vintage Empire 1940s Tearooms. We went in for a coffee and scones, and then back for lunch later. We love the old Ration Book menus, the mismatched cups and saucers, visiting The Privy, the old plates and pictures around the premises,... More

We've been to The Vintage Empire a few times and so we booked a table as a little farewell tea for us with our daughter who's moving away. We had yummy cream teas and my eldest daughter enjoyed a flower tea which was sweet and yummy! The scones were freshly baked and warm and were delicious! The Vintage Empire is... More

Made a detour here on a day out as we had heard great things...we were not disappointed!! The welcome is friendly, you can read wartime papers and soak up the atmosphere whilst you wait for your food. I highly recommend the Vera Lynn afternoon tea as it's delicious and they refill your tea regularly.
