When the dishes turned up, we were so disappointed for the price we paid. All the dishes were skimpy, the size of a starter & was given a starter plate instead of a dinner plate. The chicken Thai green curry wasn’t authentic, lacking in taste...apart from coconut milk. Expected to come out of the restaurant having a full meal but instead still feeling hungry. To top it up, one of the waitress/cook had long polished nails which totally unhygienic.More

Booked a table for Saturday night at Toms, the restaurant took my booking name and number. Arrive for the booked table and straight away I knew something was wrong by the look of total bewilderment on the ladies face who dealt with us as we...were treated like we had just walked in off the street with no booking. She opened up their booking dairy and there was my name, but where was my table...well it had been given to someone else. The worst thing was that we were left standing at the bar like we were in the wrong with no apology while they went off trying to find a table which they couldn’t. Then one of the staff members behind the bar said loudly “well everyone else has booked… Oh really well check your book so did I. So after that I told the person dealing with us to forget it, and we left.More

We made a booking for our Daughters birthday and had a wonderful evening, the staff were amazing especially Eloise who made her feel really special. The food was absolutely delicious, probably the best Thai I've had.

Impromptu mud week supper. We love Thai food but for some reason had not not visited Tom before. Pleasingly busy on a Tuesday evening ( local cognoscenti!). Wonderful service. Each dish freshly cooked and exceeding expectations. We will be regulars.

My husband and I have been dining at Thailand Toms for over 10 years. The restaurant is lovely, it has a modern fluid theme throughout, with hints of Thai styling, giving a light and welcoming Asian fusion feel. We have our favourite table, and not...to give away too much as we’d like to ensue that it’s free for when we next book. LOL! The staff are very welcoming and always remember us. They are very intuitive to your needs. The menu offers fragrant Thai dishes from (i’m told) different regions of Thailand and the choice is wide and varied and Tom (the chef) will happily adjust dishes to suit you, palate on request. I am particularly please that the staff will allow me to order the Thai fish cakes as a separate starter (which are normally part of the mixed sharing platter) as i really enjoy these. All dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to order so there can be a short wait when the restaurant is busy but with good friends and conversation, it’s not that long at all. “Very authentic and aromatic”. Nothing is too much bother. Parking is easy and convenient. If your very lucky you can secure on road parking right outside the restaurant however; parking is available along the high street with a short walk and there are a couple of car parks very near by. Normally, parking is free after 6pm, however; check to be sure. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic the restaurant has been very COVID conscious. We took advantage of the eat out, to help out scheme and felt very safe due to the COVID measures in place. I would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. We have introduced many people to Thailand Toms and will continue to do so. If you love Thai food then this is definitely the place to go.More

A small group of friends had a pleasant lunchtime meal here. It is lacking atmosphere and felt quite bare inside. The lunchtime menu is just under £10 for two courses and represented good value for money. Two of us ordered a starter of tempura prawns....When they came out they were totally different on each plate. Mine were breadcrumbed and my friend's had a wrap similar to that on spring rolls. Neither were true tempura. Saying that they were nice. My main course was well flavoured with plenty of beef and vegetables. The sauce was particularly nice. We felt full at the end of the meal. Good beer well presented and we were offered a jug of iced water without asking which was a nice touch.More

We ordered a takeaway for collection. We selected the mix platter B for starters. The size was ok however the food was very greasy and just thrown into a paper bag. The Thai Green and Thai red curry we ordered were very very bland and...had hardly any chicken pieces. Below average food at high prices.More

Well I wouldn't trust them to get this right even if they said no. My daughter has nut allergy and I know how dangerous it is.
