6 middle aged golfers visited for dinner in May. Service was a bit slow by a slightly terrified young chap with a poor memory for water and non profit bearing items but OK elsewhere. Food OK and atmosphere quite lively. We were probably too old...More

Hello David, I hope you are well! We’re sorry to hear some of the complaints you have from your previous visit. Please know that The Hop and Huffkin changed hands at the start of June. We would be delighted to host you again in the...More

We visited the Hop and Hufkin on Saturday with friends. It was our 2nd visit. The service although a bit slow was very friendly. The food was very nice although we did remark that so much of it was fried. My husband had the croquette...More

We booked in advance as it was Fathers day. Although it was busy there were sufficient staff to cope. We arrived early but were happily greeted and opted to have a drink in the garden first as it was rather hot in the dinning area....More

I visited the Hop and Huffkin for the first time this weekend along with my family to celebrate Father's Day. The main courses are all very reasonably priced, served piping hot, tasted delicious and were of a good size. My only criticism, and this is...More

Myself and a good friend wandered in for a quick snack which quickly turned into a "bottle o' wine" outing. My blue cheese burger was unparalleled in excellence and left me sated, satisfied and sufficiently pleased. The bottle of Pinot Grigio was delectable for the...More

Went for lunch one weekday and it was fine; service a little slow but staff were helpful and pleasant. Went again on a Saturday and we waited 40 minutes for food (and picked up a parking ticket as a result, but maybe that was our...More

Went here Tuesday evening, Thomas Abraham was playing. We had a table by the door. Superb table. Came with our old work bosses as was one of their birthdays. I chose the special of the evening and was faultless! We had dessert to follow and...More

Popped in for the first time under its new management today. They have kept some of their previous staff (which is great because they are very attentive, and talented at what they do), but have a new head chef there. Me and a friend enjoyed...More

We visited today for the first time. It was excellent. We had one cooked breakfast and one kippers. Both were excellent. The ingredients were obviously high quality and they were perfectly cooked and piping hot. The tea was real leaf tea. We will be back.
