Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My boyfriend and I stopped off this afternoon as our walk was interrupted by torrential rain! The cafe is super cute and very clean. We sat down with menus and ordered at the counter. All staff are incredibly friendly, order was taken efficiently. Our food...arrived and it was delicious and fresh. We had a slice of cake to finish which was really delicious. Highly recommend for a coffee pitstop in Whitstable.More

Not impressed this time around was told by a young lady that if we wanted cake at 3.20pm when the cafe closes at 4pm we could only take away as they were starting to clear away and wash up, outrageous!!! My friend and I walked...out and found something better.More

Lovely waiting staff here but had the worst ever attempt at a fish finger sandwich served to me here. I’m not sure if it was the fish fingers being overcooked or indeed being microwaved beyond all recognition or the fact that they’d been stored in...the freezer since before the original Captain Birdseye was born. Whatever it was, throwing 3 of these into 2 bits of bread and charging £6.50 looked like they’d just given up on it. Avoid this itemMore

What a little gem! We love visiting Whistable but have always struggled to find somewhere to stop that's nice (And isn't a pub!) for a bite to eat or drink with welcoming faces. This place is absolutely stunning and has THE BEST cakes - can...strongly recommend the rainbow cake - although a slight addiction is beginning to show. It's worth adding they have a lovely courtyard out the back too which has vast seating and perfect if you have a four-legged fury friend or cycling groups.More
