After a few recommendations we visited the pub because of the real ale. Some nice real ale on along with the usual keg beers. However was disappointed no real ciders on just Strongbow and some bottles. The interior of the pub has retained its original features which is a nice surprise. Would recommend visiting if you like your real ale.

This traditional pub offers a warm welcome and is also dog friendly both inside and out. The landlord does an excellent job keeping the real ale to a superb standard and there is always a good range of beers on offer. There is a pleasant enclosed garden to the rear. Sandwiches are available everyday and on Mondays there are taster... More

Mr Suffolk Pud visited here with friends on two consecutive days over the weekend. Lovely decor, friendly landlord, staff and locals. Eight real ales on. Can't fault it.

great ale, lovely staff-BUT OH!! lose the offensive skeleton at the piano and the Parrot, not healthy in a pub and totally inappropriate! spoiling what is a great little watering hole where you can pop in anytime with friends for an evening of great beers and friendly staff without the blaring muzak and massive atmosphere-destroying TVs often found in all pubs... Not a plastic beer co pub, service with a smile a good humour. A large range of real ale's and we were given free finger food and snacks. No juke box, no pool or dart's background music loud enough that you can hear people talking without shouting. If you have a chance talk to Paxo the parrot

We called here for an early evening drink and after ordering lager for my friend I was asked why we wanted weasel p*ss. They try to make out they are there for real ale drinkers only but if they sell the brew why critcise their clientell - we will never go back.
