We had heard numerous friends tell us how good this little cafe was so as we were passing through Brinscall we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. There is a nice selection of sandwiches; jacket potatoes; toasties etc all reasonably priced. We opted for toasted sandwiches - you can choose your own combination of fillings, they... More

We walked for ten miles over the moor and called in to revive our spirits. Great tea and scones served by friendly staff who did not mind our muddy boots. From the menu boards I am sure you could have a lovely lunch here.

I took a friend for lunch as a birthday treat and we found it to be excellent. The place was friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and we would highly recommend a visit. I will definitely be returning.

Popped after a long walk for a welcome brew and scone. We were welcomed by the owner and when we ordered our pot of tea and scone with jam and cream ( yummy) , she advised us to have the afternoon which consisted of the same as it was cheaper to order it that way. Makes a lovely change from... More

Perfect little tea too in a nice village we had afternoon tea which was really nice but the menus offered a lot of choice It's tiny but makes the most of the space it has and it's not a fast efficient place thankfully it's quaint and relaxed Recommended at start or end of a walk in the lively surrounding area... We popped in here for something to eat and were again, far from disappointed. The home-made Parsnip Fruit Cake was up to Janet's usual Mary Berry standard. Such a pity I had the last slice. We will be back again, without a doubt in the not too distant future.

I saw the tea room advertised in the Lancashire life and thought it would fit in with a walk that our group had planned,we were certainly not disappointed the food was excellent and the staff could not do enough to please, the tea room is not very large but was very busy on the day we visited so it is advisable... We stopped at the Cottage for a late lunch following a strenuous walk in the area. It's only small, but homely with friendly, welcoming staff. Considering the size of the place, they have a good varied menu, along with the quintessential tea for two and a great variety of cakes. We both thoroughly enjoyed our choices, which were very reasonably... More

What a great tea shop - good menu and good value. Always friendly and very often this little tea room is almost full, such is its excellent reputation amongst those who have found it. A great place to start or finish a walk on Brinscall Moors. We are regulars and love the place and the people.
