We seem to have got increasing picky when eating out - I blame all those tv cookery shows! However, here at Mitton Hall we were not disappointed. Having got an excellent B and B deal, and having read the TA reviews, we were looking forward to our dinner - and were not disappointed. We decided to treat ourselves and chose... More

First visit to Mitton Hall Brasserie, our evening visit was for a taster event. Lovely venue, warm welcoming and gorgeous luxe decor. Food was well presented and in generally good, but one or two of the courses where on the cold side when being served, plus the descriptions on the menu where brief and I felt a couple of the... If you'd have told me a few years ago that I'd be going for afternoon tea, I would have laughed at you, I must have mellowed. My other half wanted to do something quintessentially British and decided on afternoon tea.... she booked online and today we went up to Mitton Hall. What a brilliant place. Stunning building with amazing decor,... More

Terrible service followed by food poisoning! I am so disappointed. My partner and I recommended Mitton Hall to a group of friends and we arranged to go for what should have been a lovely evening. We'd been to Mitton Hall previously and had a great experience, so were happy to drive over from Bury to showcase the restaurant to our... More

The service I received at our friends wedding was outstanding, Josh particularly was great. So polite and nothing was too much trouble. Emma the organiser worked really hard to make sure everything ran perfectly for our friends. I would highly recommend this location for your wedding. Thanks.

Just had a very enjoyable New Yrs day dinner at Mitton Hall . Chose off the 2/3 course for £20 / £25 a head & we were more than satisfied with the quality & the serving of the food , drinks were also very reasonably priced & every member of staff could not have been any more helpful or friendly... I really can't believe this place is on my doorstep and that I've only recently discovered just how good it is. Since discovering it just over a month ago I have returned two further times. Our first visit was on a Sunday afternoon and we ate from the Sunday lunch menu. We could not find a fault with anything. On... More

After looking for a place to eat on a sunday afternoon we came across with this fantastic brasserie. The food is very well though and the diverse combinations of flavours are outstanding. It is a 5 star place with affordable prices. Great selection of wines and the atmosphere takes you to a completely different era with the rouring fire places.... More

Description
A 15th-century manor house in rural Lancashire, Mitton Hall creates fine food using local produce. Showcasing stunning interior design, the restaurant serves rich British and European dishes, a hearty Sunday lunch, and classic afternoon teas.
From the flavour-packed Mitton Hall menu, expect the likes of pan-fried fillet of seabass with crushed new potatoes, spring greens and garlic veloute, or the Mediterranean vegetable risotto with parmesan shavings and truffle oil. Finish with one of the tempting desserts, including white chocolate, orange and ginger cheesecake with brandy snap curl, or apple pear and berry crumble.
Afternoon tea at the Mitton Hall restaurant is both relaxed and indulgent, with fresh sandwiches and a selection of cakes and scones served by the roaring fire in the main hall, in the bar, or in the elegant brasserie. When the weather allows, afternoon tea can be enjoyed from the sunny terrace.
Mitton Hall near Clitheroe is surrounded by idyllic scenery. Blackburn and Burnley are both a 20-minute drive away.
