After looking for a place to eat on a sunday afternoon we came across with this fantastic brasserie. The food is very well though and the diverse combinations of flavours are outstanding. It is a 5 star place with affordable prices. Great selection of wines and the atmosphere takes you to a completely different era with the rouring fire places.... More

Never been to Mitton Hall before today but we had a great experience and a super afternoon tea With champagne. The voucher had been bought for me for a special birthday and when the staff realised this they brought out a slate tray piped with good wishes and fruit. It was an absolute delight and of course another glass of... More

Visited on a sunny, warm and wind free evening in August. Sat outdoors on the terrace and the evening was so beautiful, decided to dine out doors. Had a couple of courses and all enjoyed the food, service and casual atmosphere. Sat outdoors until it went dark - not sure how often that can be achieved, but fantastic.

I was part of a party of four out to celebrate my father's 80th birthday, so basically myself, my father and my sister with her partner. I'd previously worked for a former owner of Mitton Hall and had been in charge of the landscaping and subsequent maintenance for a few years, so was interested to to visit again after a... More

Had a lovely lunch today in the brasserie. We chose from the bar menu but all the menu looked excellent. The desserts are to die for! The service was excellent and the whole experience was delightful. The views from the back of the hotel are lovely. Can't wait to go back. .

We are wishing to treat our friends who kindly did the photos for our wedding on the 31st July 2016. Therefore we were checking the restaurant out. We found the food and service was amazing and we have booked for this occasion. Layla (spelling?) a New Zealand lady was so so helpful, she is an asset to Mitton Hall. Looking... More

I haven't been to this restaurant for a number of years after moving away and sadly this visit did not live up to fond memories I have of this place. Having arrived and been put in the bar which was uncomfortably packed we were shown to our table. We ordered and waited an age for the drinks to arrive. Then... More

A 15th-century manor house in rural Lancashire, Mitton Hall creates fine food using local produce. Showcasing stunning interior design, the restaurant serves rich British and European dishes, a hearty Sunday lunch, and classic afternoon teas.
From the flavour-packed Mitton Hall menu, expect the likes of pan-fried fillet of seabass with crushed new potatoes, spring greens and garlic veloute, or the Mediterranean vegetable risotto with parmesan shavings and truffle oil. Finish with one of the tempting desserts, including white chocolate, orange and ginger cheesecake with brandy snap curl, or apple pear and berry crumble.
Afternoon tea at the Mitton Hall restaurant is both relaxed and indulgent, with fresh sandwiches and a selection of cakes and scones served by the roaring fire in the main hall, in the bar, or in the elegant brasserie. When the weather allows, afternoon tea can be enjoyed from the sunny terrace.
Mitton Hall near Clitheroe is surrounded by idyllic scenery. Blackburn and Burnley are both a 20-minute drive away.
