We found this place by accident & so glad we did! Such a lovely friendly welcome, it was a nice evening & we sat outside. Delicious reasonable set menu - we wish we could have managed dessert! Popped in for a midweek treat....the food was great. I had the Ottaman Platter, the girls had Pizza and Garlic Bread. Just a shame we were the only people in the place......the food deserves better.....

Organised a meal here for 50 people, despite the large number the food was fantastic, everything cooked to perfection and excellent service. Absolutely cannot be faulted and the pina coladas are brilliant too! Will definitely re-visit.

Service was diabolical! Had to wait 35mins for our table that was booked at 8:30 apparently due to other customers turning up an hour late for their meals. We were told to wait at the bar and ignored for 35mins until someone behind the bar...finally asked the manager to find out how long it would be until we would be seated. Once seated it took them another 30mins to take our order. Finally once the food actually arrived, it was basic at best and was no better standard than the takeaway next door. As we were finishing up our drinks one of the waiters came over to ask if we wanted a shot (the only compensation offered all night) and he again was making excuses for the poor service and was very unapologetic, just repeating how it was the fault of other customers turning up an hour late due to weather (it was your average British rainy night). By the time we jd finished eating it was around 11 and us and the other 2 tables left inside were rudely ushered out the building as the workers decided to sweep the floor around us. To sum up this awful experience I can only say come here if you enjoy terrible service, basic food and creepy waiters who think winking at girls across the room is okay!More

We come to La Mama regularly for breakfast, at the weekends. There’s always a fantastic welcome, and the food is fab. Freshly made and really good value. Can’t recommend highly enough. Definitely worth a visit. Lunch and dinner are great too.

Everytime we visit, the service is always super friendly. The food is great value and is always served promptly. On our latest visit we tried omelettes, wow they were fab. I’d say the best I’ve had in quite a while. But, as I’ve said, it’s...always the service that is exceptional. We always feel welcome. Great job!More
