Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the high teas and found these of high standard. The sandwiches were fresh and the Melton Mobley pie was sensational. Lovely old tea rooms and friendly helpful staff: what more do you need?

Came across this place by chance. We had lunch here and enjoyed it very much. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Pomegranate seeds and pieces of pineapple a nice touch with my jacket potato served with prawns and salad. Generous pot of tea for two: three...cups of a strong brew each. Would happily return.More

Stopped here for coffee. The cups were small & the coffee wasn't very warm either. We won't be returning, there are much better options in Melton.

We visited this quaint cafe with two friends. The staff were very attentive and we eventually placed orders for food and drinks. I ordered Welsh rarebit and when it came on a single slice of thin bread I have to say I was surprised and...disappointed and when had eaten it still felt quite hungry - at nearly £6 I thought this was extortionate. Our friends fared slightly better but we all thought it was disappointing.More

The staff were lovely, good selection of beverages and light bites including afternoon teas and most importantly they have proper loose tea. Delicious.

Came for breakfast with our pet cockapoo and were made to feel very welcome. The eggs Benedict was lovely, as was the sausage baguette and the tea and coffee came served in dainty cups. Great service.

Called in here last weekend for lunch,my husband had a ploughman's,he enjoyed it,I had carrot and coriander soup, waited quite a while for it,the café was full but everyone was served except us,the soup arrived a big thick dollop in the middle of the bowel and...thinner around the edges,a whit Babette came with it,I wasn't asked if I wanted brown or white bread, maybe there wasn't a choice,I stirred the soup the middle thick bit was warm,I mixed it all in together, such a shame this couldn't of been done in the kitchen and warmed through,I was cold and hungry, the bagget had a weird taste, like it wasn't cooked enough and was very doughy,I did mention this when we went to pay.More

I had a lovely lunch at Miss B’s Tearoom. I had the “Melton Taster” which was the perfect sampler of local food. The food on the menu was very reasonably priced, the decor was cute and the waitress was friendly!

We stopped here for a light lunch. Upstairs, overlooking Market Place. The place is quaint and kitsch, decorated with hanging cups and saucers. The toasted sandwiches were good and hearty, the Melton Mowbray platter was tasty though the sliver of pie fell a bit short....The tea was loose tea which was a nice change from being drowned with one stingy tea bag and served nicely with teapot and cup n saucer. Nice.More

Little gem looking out over town from 2nd floor. Good honest food with a more traditional style. Well worth a visit.

Saturday 17 October 20, my husband and I stopped off in Melton Mowbray and whilst mooching round the Market Place my husband and I found a lovely tearoom called ‘Miss B’s”, with a very nice breakfast menu. My husband and I decided this was the...place for us so we entered within. We were greeted by a lady called Jolie and then shown to a table for two overlooking the market place. We looked at the nice breakfast menu and then we ordered. My husband had the Welsh rarebit and a nice pot of tea, which he said was very nice. I had the bacon and egg baguette with brown sauce, which was delicious. I had a hazelnut latte coffee. The food was served on vintage china as was the drinks, it was a pretty chintzy place and very pleasant. I found inspiration here as I wrote two poems called ‘The Market’ and ‘Miss B’s’, we spent a relaxing hour here. Our second visit was on Monday 19 October 20, my husband and I were in need of refreshments so we drove back down into Melton Mowbray and once again parked in the Wilton Street car park. We then strolled into The Market Place, where we once again went to ‘Miss B’s” tearoom. We were greeted again by Jolie and then shown to a table for two by the fireplace. We looked at the menu and then we ordered the afternoon tea for two. The food was served on vintage china as was the drinks. Our Afternoon Tea consisted of a selection of sandwiches (cheese & onion, ham & tomato, coronation chicken, salmon and cream cheese and egg and cress), a selection of small cakes (raspberry slices, bakewell tarts and coffee and walnut squares) we also had nice fruit scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, which was really nice. My husband also had a nice pot of tea and I had a large cup of coffee. We spent a nice relaxing hour here. There is a kind of elegance in having afternoon tea and cakes on vintage china. Unfortunately, we thought nearly twenty five pounds for the afternoon tea was a little steep for what we had, as we have had far better in other places for less money. If you want a nice quaint tearoom, then this is the place to visitMore
