Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We were looking for a new restaurant to try out with some friends and guided by the Great Food Club Guide, we settled on the Bustard Inn. However, as we had a young child with us, we wanted somewhere friendly and convivial to cater for...all of us and this restaurant certainly offered this. The dinning experience was overall really lovely as the staff made us very welcome and the food offered freshly cooked choices for everyone so it definitely lived up to our expectations. We would highly recommend them and are planning to return soon.More

Wow After my previous disappointment elsewhere this was a lovely experience. It's no wonder they have recently won their second rosette and they should win Best Lincolnshire Restaurant.... you will vote for them once you enjoy their excellent cuisine. The wine list is brilliant with...suggestions to match food choices which work. As for the food I enjoyed a beautifully balanced pan fried garlic and chilli prawn dish pico de gallop with favacado puree and homemade cornbread - perfect - followed by poached halibut, ratte potatoes, sauted spinach and samphire, pickled cucumber, capers and nut brown butter. The cheese board was excellent and the deconstructed pana cotta with sorbet was unexpected but lovely. Not cheap but fine dining in smart tastefully designed surroundings. A gastro village pub supreme. The staff are great and the manager is friendly and fully committed to the special product she is rightly proud to present. Can't wait to return - it's a real gem!More

A wonderful family friendly restaurant where nothing is too much trouble and all the staff made us feel welcome and tended to our needs before and during the visit. I booked the gorgeous Tower area for 13 people across 4 generations of family to celebrate...a big birthday. Lesley, Charlotte and Sarah supported all the information we needed and our requirements before the big day and the table was tastefully set and balloons and cake all seamlessly arranged. The food was of the highest quality with the best chocolate fondant for dessert I have ever tasted! The atmosphere was relaxed in beautiful surroundings and I couldn’t recommend enough the Bustard as a superb restaurant venue for a celebration or any occasion.More

The food is to my liking full of flavour. We recently went there for a birthday treat. The Parma ham starter was excellent full of flavour and nicely plated up. The main course was fillet of beef cooked to perfection and the sauce was 10/10...for me.More

Amazing food, coupled with great service. Beef underdone imo and not hot. Rest was brilliant. Starter not needed. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

My daughter move to Cranwell a few weeks ago, she had a Sunday lunch and said "Dad when you come over we must go" last (27/1) Saturday we did, with the hype you always have room for disappointment - NOT on this occasion. we were...received with a smile and welcome and asked if we wanted a drink at the bar or straight to the table, off to our table we went, we were located to the rear of the building in an area that was either new or freshly renovated. drinks were served promptly by friendly waitress who did care. we opted for two starters - Ham hock and the soup (both spot on tasty and filling) then The Salmon, Venison and Sirloin, The salmon was beautifully presented and very tasty, Venison equally so and the Sirloin was one of the most flavoursome steaks i have had in a long tome, each mouthful a pleasure. deserts of Artisan cheese and Crem brulee absolutely top draw, especially the blue cheese. all in all a really good evening - good company and great food. Every time i visit we will be booking The Bustard inn.More

We first visited in September 2023 and had a great meal, staff are attentive, friendly, professionally and welcoming. The food is incredibly good, and when speaking to Lesley about coming back for Sunday lunch, which we finally managed to get around to this afternoon I...had high expectations and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to come back soon! Thank you again to the team, always a lovely experience and the food is exceptional.More

I was treated to a visit to The Bustard Inn by a friend who had been raving about the food. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile by Lesley and the whole team before promptly being shown to our table with a drink already...in our hands. We had pre-ordered the 3 course Christmas lunch and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! Not only was it fantastic value, the food was delicious, well presented and quick to come out. This was easily the best meal I have had in Lincolnshire and am eager to visit again very soon! Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.More

Been here a few times and had a lovely meal, nice staff and good portions. However, went to Christmas quiz night with a curry and to say there wasn’t enough food is an understatement. 5 bits of chicken breast in a sauce with no flavour...- a naan bread the size of a mini American style pancake and a couple mouthfuls of rice. Then they had the cheek to charge £4 for a tiny bowl of chips! With 4 people in our party - the chaps were still hungry and we had 4 extra portions of chips… didn’t know they would cost £16! Quiz was great fun - but would I be back - no - not for that price and portion size - really shocked me.More
