Easy booking, very friendly waiting on staff and most importantly, following an excellent Starter, we both opted (upon recommendation of the waiter) for the Lamb Shank. These arrived large, falling off the bone, accompanied by the most delicious mash and potato gratin and what was...possibly the tastiest herby red wine gravy EVER! Simply Superb - Well done Chef. If ever we are in this area we will make a point of eating here again.More

Ate at the game cock tonight. The staff and food were amazing. Great value for money and good portions shame we didn’t have room for desserts. Thank you Conor and all the staff for your hospitality. Would highly recommend this establishment and we will definitely...return.More

Visited for Sunday lunch mid January. We were lucky and got the last table. So popular as people were arriving but had to be turned away as fully booked. Loved loved loved the roast beef roast dinner. Fresh and super tasty and plenty of it....Excellent value for money. My husband ordered a terrine starter and the lovey waiter brought extra baguette and plate for me as he knew I would most likely be sharing it which we did! A very thoughtful touch. Couldn’t manage a pudding but was very tempted. However we did buy a couple of pastries from the bakery to take away. The serving staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive and first class. A very slick and professional operation and communication between front of house and kitchen/chef. Overall an excellent first experience. We are fairly local and will be returning very soon However I will need to remember to book ahead as it’s so popular. Thank you for a great experience today. Lynn and MarkMore

A great weekend away. Excellent service throughout and engagement with the customers from Dave, Maree and Connor. The food was amazing - very authentic French cuisine from Eric and his team. Would thoroughly recommend and hope to come back soon.

Check they’re actually open as advertised ! We rang to prebook a table and left a message, as advised on the answering machine. We arrived assuming everything was fine but the place wasn’t actually open on the Wednesday. What does it take to change the...answerphone message and put a note on the door , we found out they weren’t open from the maintenance man .More

We had dinner here whilst staying at nearby hotel. Service was excellent. Staff so friendly. Food was excellent, really good portion size. Excellent atmosphere. I would recommend booking as it can get quite busy. I would definitely return if in the area again
