5 of us went for Sunday lunch and it was lovely. Despite being very busy, the service was exellent. The food was beautiful. The meat was so tender and the yorkshire puds huge. Great place to eat. Lovely friendly pub. We've been going for years now and cannot fault it. Food is always beautifully presented and they can't do enough... More

Called in here on speck and they managed to find us a table even though they where very busy. The service and food was excellent if you order onion rings one portion is enough for two people they are freshly battered and cooked not the frozen type

After a long day out in the Yorkshire Dales we needed a cosy pub and a hearty meal. Having been a few times over the last 25 years but not for about 5 years we decided to choose here. We walked into an empty pub! It was approx 5.45pm. We decided to have a quick drink and see if it... More

We popped into this pub early evening Saturday after a walk. My husband and I walked in and said 'hi' followed by 'how are you?' which was completely ignored. The landlord was just miserable and not just to us but to the following visitors too. The atmosphere was like sitting in a library. Awful, one pint and we were out.... More

Went there one night as staying in Aysgarth, meal very average the pork loin was dry and the vegetables looked like frozen diced veg, maybe because it was in February, but didn't go back

Unfortunately this pub is nowhere near as good as the pub 1/2 a mile away the Aysgarth falls hotel. The chicken goujons were nice however the pork fillet was dry and not good quality. The pub added on 15% service which we paid making in a £.75 difference between the George and Dragon and the Aysgarth falls hotel. No wine... More

We ate here when staying at the hotel. It was the standard type of pub menu with just a pasta dish for veggies. Slightly overpriced for what was on offer, but palatable.

I love this pub. Visited many times and never had a bad meal. Warm and friendly. I have been with a pte booked big group of 22 on a couple of occasions and a smaller group of 4-6 on many occasions. Very happy to recommend

The George and Dragon Inn is a timeless Victorian gastro pub nestled in the Yorkshire Dales National Park complete with a crackling log fire, traditional ales on tap, a patio with views of Pen Hill and rustic walls decorated with framed sketches. We couldn't think of a cosier place to settle in with a bottle of red than the George and Dragon Inn's down-to-earth dining room, and apparently we're not the only ones. With one AA Rosette under its belt, the restaurant is a popular spot for Sunday roasts, afternoon tea and hearty evening meals, and the modern British menu includes signature dishes such as the roast Nidderdale chicken breast served with smoked applewood risotto.
