We've been here before and had a great experience however this time surpassed the the last. A busy atmosphere yet service attentive. Food delightful yet again. Between 2 of us we had the specially ordered Fresh Mussels in Tomato chilli wine and garlic. Battered pate mushrooms too an absolute must. Mains were a fillet steak with a strong crumbled Blue... We booked at very short notice and luckily for us they were able to accommodate us which we chuffed with as there was four of us. As usual service was fab and the food as excellent as ever. Everything is cooked to order and freshly prepared on the premises by the fab owner and his wife and staff. The Yorkshire... More

It is not often we are passing here so if we are we always try to call for Sunday lunch. Tom and Angie run this place and you feel as if you are stepping into your families sitting room when you arrive. It is so relaxed and them and their friendly young staff make you feel so at home. There... More

Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, Tom has smashed it today. We both feel there isn't a better Sunday Dinner to be had in the whole of th North East. Excellent food, wonderful service in a friendly cosy atmosphere. Top marks from Harry and Lynn. Well done and thanks to Tom and Angie. We'll be back.!!!

Due to circumstances we have not been for a while, but be assured we will be back and certainly won't be leaving it so long this time. We don't normally have a starter but as soon as we saw the mussels, we couldn't resist, so decided to share a main course portion for a starter, this was followed by the... More

Without a doubt, one of the best pubs in the area (and I've been to most!) Firstly, just popping in for a drink is a treat. The customer service and attention to detail is first class. Yes, the pub is small but with the log fires and warm welcome it's cosy and inviting. The best quality red wine of any... More

The Horseshoe Inn is a small 300 year old village pub located in the village of West Rounton in North Yorkshire. We provide a friendly warm atmosphere with excellent food and real ales. All of our food is freshly prepared by our Chef who has a reputation for producing traditional wholesome food using locally sourced produce. Our menu frequently changes and there are always 'Weekly Specials' on the blackboard along with a Starter and Dessert menu. Being situated in North Yorkshire we are lucky to be located in an area rich with excellent local produce. This is reflected in our menu’s that change seasonally enabling us to use ingredients when they are at there best. We offer a selection of meals to cater to most tastes including vegetarian meals. At The Horseshoe Inn we believe in keeping the menu simple but varied, this ensures that all the food is fresh and at its best.
