An old pub open evenings run by a really friendly couple. Midweek we were the only customers most of the time we were there. It felt like we were just guests in their home rather than customers, the lady even sat and chatted while we...More

Hospitality was second to none by the landlord when he welcomed over 100 cyclists to use his facilities including flooding the carpark with bikes, nothing like an ice cold cola on a boiling hot day to cool you down.Thankyou very much for your kindness/

Passed through for a couple of drinks. We didn't have any food, but the menu looked good with the steaks possibly worth a try. Nice rustic pub with a coal fire and interesting history, well worth a visit if you're in the area!

A traditional Yorkshire pub in a lovely village. Landlady friendly and helpful. Meal was very tasty. An outstanding french onion soup , good ribeye steak and a lovely rich steak and ale pie. Portions are more than generous and all for a very reasonable price.
