I must start by saying the food was really good we had 3 courses and all were great. my main issue was that the service was far from good. we were served by 3 different people, one waiter insisted on squeezing by my wifes seat and she had to stop eating and move her chair each time. we moved our... We were a party of 8 who'd booked for 6pm. On arrival the restaurant was already buzzing which was great. Within half an hour it was full! But the service was efficient and friendly. Menu choices suit all tastes - but the specials board was for me. Lots of fish dishes....scallops, cod, tempura prawns. We chose to split a mussels... More

This is really best known for specialising in fish dishes. There are steaks on menu and a couple of other meat dishes. It is on the pricey side but enjoyed it. Starter tasted fantastic best I have had for a while. Steak was fine but it's not my favourite dish and as not bothered about fish I was a little... More

We used to stay and eat at the wayfarer when Chris and Lucy were the owners and had not been for a meal for the last few years but we booked a meal over the Victorian weekend as we had heard good things about the restaurant . We had to wait while our table was prepared but we were five... More

Great place with friendly staff. The food standard was excellent and the Sunday evening menu came with a bottle of wine and a medley of side dishes. The kitchen was in view at the back corner of the restaurant - always a good sign! Decor was modern and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

I had fillet steak and my husband had the duck, our meals were amazing as was the ambiance and the staff were very attentive. An amazing meal for our wedding anniversary. Would definitely recommend this... More

My partner and I dined here last night (Sunday) which is, steak, bake night. I had the roast cod in chorizo and harrissa sauce, while her indoors had the chicken with brandy and mushrooms sauce. The meals came with a choice of chips or baked potato and plates of side salad which were very nice. The bottle of wine which... More

This is a great choice for meal out, situated at the top of the hill. Restaurant has a good feel with attentive staff. Food is well presented and delicious. Can adapt some meals to be gluten free. Definitely need to book if you want an early sitting.
