We popped out for brunch and came across this gem. We both had a late breakfast and I am glad we did. Lovely fresh produce, eggs cooked to our liking, a choice of crusty toast and all pipping hot. Pot of tea and a filter coffee for just over £21...bargain!! Polite and helpful staff. The views over the countryside are beautiful which adds to the whole experience. Also there are lots of Antique shops and an array of other premises. Well worth a visit. Not been here before but we will be back.

One of my favourite meals out is a good Full English Breakfast... So one Sunday we headed for our reasonably local Cafe (Glebe Farm Tea-Room) to get breakfast. The breakfast menu is exactly as it says on the top of it, a 'Simple Sunday Morning Breakfast' with a Full Cooked Big Breakfast, a Breakfast Bap, Eggs Benedict or a Sausage and / or Bacon Sandwich. We went for the Big Breakfast and it was very nicely presented and everything was to a very high standard. The 2 poached eggs were cooked to perfection (compliments to the chef). As far as breakfasts go it is at the top end price wise at £9.95 I have had bigger breakfasts (with double sausages and a drink included for £10) and also full cooked cafe breakfasts for as little as £4 But as I said it was a very nice breakfast. It got rather busy so get there early to get a table. Located just off of A14 Junction 7. We would certainly visit again.

Amazing food, went post covid. Normally you have to wait ages in this place for a table but it was dead (this was a Friday morning!!) Sad to see it so quiet, but good for us as we got in for a change! The waitresses very attentive and friendly, food was incredible, everything done correctly (track and trace, one way in and one way out) Only thing we found a tad strange was getting brought the card machine to us when we got our food which was a bit odd but I guess at least it saved us waiting around at the end. Overall a great local tea room! Recommend to anyone!

I went here for lunch recently and it didn't live up to my expectations. The food is expensive for what you got and the service was slow. The staff were very friendly but we were in there for 1hr45mins just for a sandwich, jacket potato, soup and then cake afterwards! It also cost just under £45 for that and 2 lattes, a tea and a raspberry lemonade! Whilst I appreciate that COVID has probably caused the price hike I think the prices could be a bit lower or the food quality should reflect the price.

Looking at reviews this place appears to be like marmite.... love it or hate it. Three of us had lunch here and 2 meals were just ok (overcooked poached eggs), however the bacon, brie and sweet chilli toastie had no chilli sauce and virtually no brie which meant a very dry bacon toastie. Stupidly I should've sent it back, instead I left it uneaten. We decided to have a couple of milkshakes and the waitress promised to return for our order, half-hour later we called her to our table so we could order. Milkshakes arrived swiftly and we left. Not sure we would bother again........especially as they ask for payment prior to getting your food, not a practice I approve of as they can then serve poor food and give poor service which you have already paid for. I've given them a 3 and not a 2 as if I'd sent it back they could have redeemed themselves, on this occasion I'm voting with my feet.

Took my 80 year old mother for lunch. She had been a regular before my father died, and was touched that the staff remembered them both and offered genuine regret to hear he had died. The food was excellent - we had the special, a roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. Loved that the cabbage was so beautifully cooked, still fresh with no taste of the bitternessFound in overdone cabbage. I was also impressed by the COVID precautions they had in place, made me feel it was a safe place to take mum.

Very slow service, stood waiting to be seated, then after 45 mins or more the breakfast arrived. I would understand if it was full but it wasn’t. More staff than customers not even an apology for waiting. I was told not to complain so I sat staring for 45 mins. When the food arrived it was lovely but come a sausage takes 10 mins to cook . We weren’t asked if we needed another drink as we had drank them within 15 mins so at least 30 mins past before the food arrived.

I’m a regular visitor here and the food is always excellent. Good, varied food choices as well as a great vegan/vegetarian menu. Upon arrival you need to ring a bell before being taken through to the main seating area and it was quite sometime before anyone came out to us. I’m sure they could loose customers because of this as we very nearly gave up waiting. Once inside we had excellent service and nothing was too much trouble. This time we went for afternoon tea and was not disappointed. A small selection of finger sandwiches, a couple of savoury pastries (which were delicious!) and a small slice of home made quiche along with small cakes, chocolate dipped strawberries and a huge scone with jam & clotted cream. The only improvement I would make is to include a small cake/pastry fork as some of the cake with buttercream can be messy to eat with fingers. I did ask for a fork and was given a full size one - it just doesn’t fit with afternoon tea!! Apart from that we really enjoyed it and would recommend for a treat!

Visited with my family on Sunday morning, nice greet, was taken to our table and, well that was it. Waited 15 minutes for someone, anyone to come to our table but it never happened. Asked a passing waiter if we had to order at the counter or whether someone would take our order and was told someone would be along soon. Well that was a lie. Eventually a waitress approached us but then went to the table of 8 that had arrived about 20 minutes after us, with the 30+ minute wait we had already endured there was no chance that I was going to be behind a huge order so we left. Definitely won’t be in a hurry to go back, shocking service.

My friend and I met here for lunch today. The cafe doesn't take bookings but we soon got taken to a table. The place was packed by 12.15pm. I had to call a waitress over to take our food order. I noticed she had taken an order from a neighbouring table who arrived after us. Our drinks arrived then bizarly another waitress came for payment before we had even been served our food! I thought this was unacceptable and challenged it. We were both astonished at this practice and declined to pay before even seeing our food. She backed down. Our lunches arrived shortly afterwards and they were delicious and genetous. I couldn't finish mine so the waitress kindly put it in a box for me. I would have given 5 stars for the food but have marked down for the poor service. If you are presented with a bill before your food arrives don't pay it. This is bad practice and should be discouraged. I hope the management reads this, takes note and stops this bad practice.

The food was tasty but I had one small piece of toast for the cost I didn't think this was good value for money. I asked for another slice and was charged for the additional piece. To add to futher disappointment the waitress was not very friendly at all. She did not give off a friendly vibe and definately needs to work on her customer service. It doesn't take much to offer a smile! Perhaps she needs to consider working in the kitchen if she doesn't like people! The genteman serving with glasses was lovely.

This is a delightful place for afternoon tea, in addition to the breakfast reviewed here. Service is provided by friendly and helpful staff who are unobtrusively attentive. The setting is excellent, too, with spotlessly clean dining spaces and a cracking countryside view. The good range of food clearly uses fresh, high quality (local?) ingredients. The "full English" breakfast was freshly cooked to order and really enjoyable in all respects. As a bonus we also snapped up takeaway cheese scones and cakes!

My wife and I fancied an afternoon tea so range the establishment in the morning to confirm they were doing afternoon teas and no pre-booking required which was confirmed as just walk in. We went to the establishment two hours later , we were led to our table and told their would be about a 25 minute waiting time for the food which was fine. As we sat at the table for about 30minutes we noticed that other tables who came in after us were having their food orders taken before us, so we called a waitress over and it transpires theyhad ticked us off the list for orders taken and apologised. Then when they did cometo take the orders we were informed they were not doing afternoon teas despite having told us an hour earlier on the phone that they were. We consequently left having a wasted journey and wasted afternoon with no apology.

My friend and I visited on Thursday morning. We were seated near the log burner so we’re warm and comfortable. My friend had a full English breakfast and I had a bacon and mushroom omelette with granary toast both washed down with a couple of cups of cappuccino. We were not rushed, we had a good chat and a faultless meal. It has been ages since we went to Glebe, but I can assure you that we will be back as soon as we can.
