This was possibly the best Indian takeaway we have ever had. The Chicken was succulent, well spiced and very good portions.

We decided to have a family get together, seven of us in all. We chose the Brinjol as a few of us have visited and had some good food. We arrived at 7:30 to find the restaurant already fairly busy, and were shown to our table. Had there been the original 9 not 7, it would have been something of... More
I used to rate this place and recommend, food really great and the staff. Last year I had a tandoori mixed grill which comes with a piece of chicken on the bone- the bone had been filleted and then put on my plate as a chicken piece, this was on a banquet day, i was willing to forgive this as... Me and my partner visited here late in the evening, it was around 10.10pm. We asked if they were ok to serve us coz they were closing at 11pm and they said it was fine and welcomed us in. The food and service was appalling. Poppodoms had a strange taste, starters were ok ish. But the main and sides were... More
This is one of our usual eateries which normally provides tasty food and friendly customer service. The restaurant has a lovely ambience. Tonight we had our usual takeaway order - but this time the food was all really bland and had no depth of flavour nor a kick to one of the dishes. We were really disappointed. Has the chef... More
We have eaten here a few times, every time the service has been good, staff friendly and food delicious. Need to book sometimes as it can get busy. Banquet night on a Wednesday is great value.
We were staying at the Heart of England Hotal next door and tried the Brinjol this weekend. Overall the experience was average. We had booked in advance and had a warm welcome. Once seated we ordered our drinks and popadums while we selected our choice. The popadums were promptly served but after that we were ignored for a while -... More
Brinjol is an established restaurant with a detailed menu. The staff are friendly and helpful. We went on a Wednesday. Taking advantage of a generous special offer, I had naan bread, chana mossala, lamb jalfrezi and paneer tikka. It all tasted authentic and delicious. My only criticism would be the vivid colour of some of the dishes making me wonder... More
Recently moved into the area and have visited this very local Indian on three occasions, the service was very mixed on all three occasions, but the food remained the same..... needs a bit of an update and a better wine choice .... but overall OK.
