Dropped into the Hemmel Cafe as we drove through Allenhead. We were made very welcome in a comfortable and safe environment with drinks and a delicious chocolate cake. Friendly and engaging hosts; very good selection for produce. Highly recommended

Inaccessible cafe. Toilets up difficult bendy stairs. Staff did not know if the building was listed. I use a white cane. When I arrived staff kept rushing past me. No consideration. Very dangerous. Food ok. They did try to overcharge by £1.95.

Our cycling group stopped here at the end of a C2C leg. Great daily specials, tea, coffee. Friendly welcome and log burning stove to warm by.

Probably, although I didn't see any dogs there whilst I was there. There is a very large courtyard area and lots of trees to shield dogs from the rain.
