Visited last night, was surprised how quiet the restaurant section was. We ordered the potato skins to share, they were lovely but unfortunately came the same time as the main so didn't really enjoy as much as we should have. I had the grilled chicken with chips, the chips good but the chicken was tough, over cooked and obviously been... More

One pub I like to visit for meals. It's nice and convenient to where I live. I generally get the pensioners special with a side dish of home made chunky chips for my wife and I to share. The staff are friendly and know the menu well. There are vegetarian meals available as well as a childs menu. Gluton free... More

This is a very large pub frequented by locals drinking and playing snooker, but tucked away at object side is a dining area. Staff very efficient and friendly, and daily specials are on a couple of blackboards. We fancied the sound of the seafood with harrissa sauce, and oh my goodness! What a plateful, it was amazing. It came with... More

I had to organise a funeral tea and thought this was a good location - easy parking and convenient for most main roads. The staff were excellent, discussed my plans sensitively and gave me an estimate of the price. I was not disappointed with plenty of food and some very good soup, for the cold day it was. There were... More

We go here regularly and have never had anything but a really good lunch. Good food really well cooked and presented. Chef can turn his hand to anything. As there is soon to be the start of a big housing development to the rear of the pub it might be a good time for a refurbishment (more than a quick... More

Can't really say it's a carvery as the meat is all ready sliced and kept in a watery gravy stuff, looks like the catering packs of sliced meat ye get from cash n carry, taste ok tho, the veg is all fresh stuff and the turnip is to die for, all... We were staying on the tourer site at Sandy Bay,the meals there were not up to much. So we went into Fox Cover, what a good choice. Friendly welcoming staff and a good choice of meals. The cost wont make you cringe either.

Went at lunchtime through the week and it was very quiet. Only a couple of other diners apart from us. The menu had something on it we all liked the sound of, but the teenagers I was with remarked on there being 'no atmosphere' and said it 'felt weird in here'. The cola from the pump was watery enough to... More

We found this resturant (via trip adviser) when on holiday in Northumberland. The resturant was quite on our arrival but it soon filled up. Good menu with lots of specials on the boards as well. Food was great, well presented, hot and it was evident that care had been taken in its preparation. Would recommend for everyday use, interior would... More
