Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent food that was freshly prepared using very tasty ingredients. The roast lamb was succulent with a full set of supporting vegetables. The service was second to none with no pressure to move on once we were finished. The dining area was well laid out...with discreet Christmas decorations. Overall an experience I would recommend to anyone looking for a great Sunday lunch.More

5 star service and amazing food! We stopped in for the farmhouse, breakfast, a cappuccino and a mocha. It was beautifully presented and the team were very friendly.

Called in here whilst staying at nearby Lucker, the guy serving was supper friendly and we had coffee and fresh cheese scones that were still warm from their morning bake.

A great spot for breakfast, coffee or lunch as well as shopping. Warm friendly welcome and lots of seating both inside and outside. Massive scones that did not disappoint. It's a shame they were not open in the evening for dinner, but I think they...do in the summer. If you are part of the BritStop scheme, you are welcome to park and stay in your motorhome/campervan overnight in the carpark - you just need to call ahead. A very quiet spot on the edge of Belford.More

This place is usually a fantastic restaurant, unfortunately my experience was sadly disappointing because the food was not to usual high quality, it was over cooked and dry, the customers service was terrible.

Visited Sunnyhills many times and the food is always excellent. Today I had the King Prawns with Chorizo from the specials board, it was delicious but a very small portion, I thought it was a bit on the mean side. I only got 4 prawns....My Mum had a beautiful home baked scone which was huge and delicious, but she was disappointed with the portion of cheap jam in a plastic container with peel back lid. I would expect a lovely homemade scone to be served with quality homemade jam, whether made on the premises or from a local supplier. The adjoining farm shop surely stocks nice jams? Also, she wasn't offered fresh cream with her scone, which would've been a nice addition. I would always recommend Sunnyhills to anyone but as we were paying our bill at the counter I noticed the signs asking for customers to leave a review on Trip Advisor, so this is why I've written this. Maybe Mum will get nicer jam next time and I might get another couple of prawns!More

Very slow service. We arrived at 10 and was still waiting for food at 10,45 with one person trying to serve multiple tables then go and do their drinks before moving to serve the next table. All of a sudden 3 more people turned up.... Food pretty average once it finally arrived. Bacon was quite fatty and the beans were Luke warm. Coffee was nice. Seemed to be a bit short staffed. Terms a much nicer place for breakfast in the village.More

Had lunch fish chips and mushy peas. Absolutely first rate if a down side the portions were too much couldn't eat it all. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. Will be returning next week and hoping to sample the steak and ale pie.

So visited a few times during our stay at South Meadows next door. Food was really good, variety and tasty. Coffee good and staff friendly - beware the food times though as breakfast stops at 1130 and lunch starts at 12. We had cakes as...well as hot drinks and main meals and all was tasty. Great outside seating area - the only area you can sit with dogs, but NO umbrellas so if you have your dog and its raining you'll get wet !More

Possibly the best breakfast in the world An excellent Scottish breakfast in a lovely environment - only reason why it's not five out of five is because it was so busy there was a bit of a wait. Great service though and the waitress was...lovely.More

Called here with our grand daughters and our doggy as we were staying in the area. A friend recommended their play area for to our grand daughters as dogs were allowed which was a bonus as most players areas don’t allow dogs. Other people had...had the same idea as there was lots of other family’s all enjoying the lovely sun shine with their children and dogs having something to eat. The play area was well maintained and very safe for children. Our coffee was lovely and hot and the cakes were really nice looked home made too. The service was nice and friendly and prompt. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.More
