We’ve stayed here a number of times and would do so again but on this occasion the food in the restaurant was not great. Breakfast cooked by the manager was very good however. Only other niggle was that in room 2 you couldn’t switch the...shower on without getting drenched in cold water! Eek.More

We ate here as a family last night. Really nice food, great service, lots of gluten free options (which we needed), generous portions and dog friendly. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!

The meal was absolutely delicious. The only drawback is that I wish George Michael's 'Faith' was played a few more times. What a song!

Wednesday 25 August 2021, in the early evening my husband and I drove to the village of Crookham to go to dinner at ‘The Blue Bell Inn’. The Blue Bell Inn had been a coaching inn for many years and my husband and I received...a wonderful warm welcome on entering this establishment. The Restaurant was situated in a conservatory and was lovely and light and airy. It has beech wood tables and comfortable chairs. The tables were set with lovely shiny cutlery, white napkins and there were fresh flowers on all the tables. The service was very friendly and professional. The food at this restaurant is very good. We had booked a table here at 6.45pm, and we were served to a wholesome meal. My husband for his main course had battered cod, mushy peas and chunky chips served with tartar sauce, which my husband said, was delicious. For my main meal I had beef chilli con carnie served with rice and sour cream, which was very nice. We washed all this lovely food down with two nice chilled glasses of rose wine for me and two pints of the local ale for my husband. Afterwards, my husband and I decided to share a cheeseboard, which came with crackers, butter, grapes, celery, four cheeses (Cheddar, Stilton, Brie & Cheddar with Cranberries) and a nice chutney. We did not bother with any coffees afterwards as we were quite full. If you want a nice friendly pub with good wholesome food then this is the place to visit when you are in the area.More

I booked a room for 1 night on arrival I was greeted by a lovely young man who was helpful and pointed us to the cottage. Upon entry greeted with what I will only describe as a dump.. everything worn out.. Went to check bedroom...which had never seen a hoover let alone a duster it was filthy... It was that bad I didn't unpack and left. I did not make a song and dance about it in the bar when handing the key back.. maybe I should as they have refused to give a refund.More

Like any other hotel in the land, you don’t get a refund when you have to leave at 7 o’clock in the evening - threatening to write a malicious review won’t change that fact.

I would have given 5 stars if it was not for the poor food we had. The bar staff extremely experienced and polite and friendly. But on our day of eating at the Blue Bell , The food was poor I had chef’s pie (This...was like a chicken korma in a bowl with a puff pastry lid that was just sat on top and the fried vegetables were hard and over cooked, the soup was not the best as well) So sorry to the bar staff you deserve a 5 but chef needs more experience.More

We ate at The Blue Bell Inn as we were staying overnight. The inn located on a fast busy road but it is worth the effort of getting there. Prior to visiting we had a call asking if we required a table for one or...both of our evening stays. The food was lovely, we all really enjoyed our choices. The service was excellent and I'd recommend The Blue Bell.More

We had difficulty managing to book a table at this pub until we visited in person. The staff at the pub (Abbie and Anthony) who are brother and sister do a stunning job and make you feel welcome. It was Anthony who kindly booked us...in for a meal. We had been told over the telephone that there was no availability. When we did eat here the food was quite average and we had a Terrine starter and a soup starter. Quite expensive really for an average starter. The main meal was a pie which was called Chef's special pie. It was a chicken Korma with a puff pastry lid on! The usual chef who had short grey hair was not on duty when we visited so maybe that's why the food wasn't everything that is being said on here! I have to say that the food didn't make this pub for us it was Abbie and Anthony who really do look after customers. The regulars were also very friendly towards us too.More

We haven't been here for a long time and now it's under new hands decided to give it a go. It was so good we went twice in 2 weeks and are booked to go again. First time we went with 2 friends (1 who...is a really good chef). A very good menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented and absolutely delicious. So much so that though we were fit to burst we just had to have a desert and polish that off too. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.More

There is a room in the back of the place that probably could hold 25 people, based on my memory of our single visit there. Don't know about the timing. Need to call the Bluebell in any event.
