We visited the Pilgrims coffee shop for a coffee in the late afternoon on a busy july day and could not resist looking at all the home made cakes on offer, finally settling on fruit scones and raspberry jam to go with our coffee. All the cakes were reasonablt priced at around £3.00 and the portions were generous. The service was quick considering how busy the cafe was and our table in a garden filled with flowers was a delight .

We visited twice, it was busy both times. We sat outside for our first visit and then indoors too. The coffee and tea were both really tasty. I had a slice of chocolate brownie and that was absolutely delicious. There was a nice aroma of fresh baking in the cafe and the cake selection looked lovely, I'd have liked a number of them because they all looked so delicious.I liked the fact you could top up your water bottle at the tap too.

My hubby loves good quality coffee, it’s his passion. This roasters, situated on Holy Island really delivers a quality bean to cup experience. The aromas and taste are exquisite. To compliment the experience are some delicious cakes, I enjoyed a gorgeous flapjack with lemon drizzle icing, Please visit Pilgrims when you visit the island

Everything is served in takeaway containers but with no option to recycle them? They are just thrown in the same bin as everything else. Seems complete madness in the current climate crisis. This also contradict their whole business ethos, I didn’t understand this at all. There was a very long wait for coffee despite four members of staff preparing drinks and serving customers. Everything seemed very disorganised and the coffee was not worth the wait. The latte was lukewarm and weak, however cheese scone was very good and cakes looked tasty. Overall, would not recommend due to the total disregard for the environment and the underwhelming coffee.

Delicious fresh coffee, roasted and blended on the premises. A range of teas and cold drinks available too. The range of cakes is small, but each is delicious. Made fresh each day, so once they’ve sold out of a particular cake it’s gone for the day, but they’re all good so you can just choose an alternative. Portions are generous. Vegan/gluten-free options available. Friendly staff who are happy to talk about the difference between their coffees - they clearly know and love their products. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Highly recommend for a snack stop as you explore this beautiful and unique place.

We all enjoyed a coffee and scone in the sunshine. The coffees were beautifully presented in recyclable cups which is always a bonus. The scones were very delicious. Lots of outdoor seating. Only slight disappointment was the fact Meg's coffee was cold, but you can't have everything can you.

The coffee, cakes and ice-cream were great. It's a little bit pricey but I think that's reasonable if it's tasty. I was happily surprised by the edible spoons served with the ice-cream such a clever idea. A great seating area outside.

We had a cold, windswept summer’s day on Lindesfarne and our stop here on the way back to the car was so reviving. There’s no indoor seating but the outside space is gorgeous and sheltered. When the tables filled up someone came out and put out some picnic rugs. Our children had ice cream from next door and we had coffee (a flat white and a long black) A completely unexpected find.

I tried their flat white, and it was delicious – creamy with a smooth, rich espresso flavor. They really know how to brew coffee well. I also had a bite of their homemade banana bread, which was soft, flavorful, and the perfect pairing with my coffee.

Flat white was delicious as were the fruit and cheese scones. The Cuthbert cake was quite interesting but the carrot cake moist and delicious 😋 Definitely worth a visit for the scones and the coffee. Also its a very cute and cosy little place.

Every time we visit Holy Island this is always our go to cafe, we had walked from The Snook on this beautiful & windless day and stopped for refreshments before heading back. Despite only having outdoor seating and limited food it was still popular. We managed to get a table in the sun so we were plenty warm enough, service was still great and the carrot cake (not earlier enough for the scones!!) & coffee were delicious.

The coffee was pretty smooth. We also tried the Cuthbert's cake, which was a nice blend of banana, pistachio, almond, cranberry, oats and raisins. It was a nice snack. The queue was very long, however, so be prepared to wait.

I checked out quite a few places on Holy Island before concluding that the cakes looked the best here and I wasn’t wrong! I consider myself an expert cake taster! My mum had Cuthbert’s cake which was like an oaty flapjack from the little nibble I had. I shared the scone pudding and carrot cake and really enjoyed both but slight preference for scone pudding. It was described as bread and butter pudding with scones instead of bread and toffee sauce on top. My dad said he preferred the carrot cake which was lovely and moist although if I’m being picky I didn’t think the frosting had that cream cheese taste I like. Coffee was much better than first place we went. Oh and dog friendly so that’s always a winner!

We stopped here for a spot of lunch whilst on a boat trip to Holy Island and are so glad that we came across it. The coffee is delicious and the food was amazing. We shared a cheese scone and a piece of strata which was made from some of the leftover scones - wow! It was a lovely sunny day which meant we could also take advantage of the outdoor seating area 👏🏻

We popped in for a coffee and scone. It was super busy (inside and outside) and we managed to find a table and chairs indoors but it was cramped. Coffee was a bit bitter - like my review. Fruit scone was great but friend had a cheese scone and he left most of it as it was pretty claggy. Garden outside was lovely and time out there would have been better. Looked to be one of the best options as place for coffee on a Sunday afternoon but was disappointed.
