We called in for lunch last weekend. On arrival we were greeted ' loudly' by the bar staff and shown where to sit. It was a pleasant change to be served drinks and have our orders taken at the table. The menu was ok but the sandwiches were on a separate menu which I had to ask for and there... More

Everytime we visit Northumberland we eat here as its a winner! Great staff and especially friendly and welcoming Landlord serving great food in a relaxed warm environment which is full of both tourists and visitors alike and all appear to get treated the same. We actually ended up eating twice here over the New Year weekend but beware the portions... More

Warm and friendly atmosphere in this old coaching inn. Good food and service all round. Try the deep fried brie it is to die for.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Open fire was a lovely touch on a cold damp Sunday. Good choices of roasts for Sunday lunch and both the beef and chicken were very good. Yorkshire puddings are worth a visit just for them. Nice vegetables served on the table.

Our table was in the restaurant rather than the bar but both areas had lovely wood burners on the go and the rooms were very... More

What a lovely Sunday afternoon we've had in The Coach Inn. The food really was superb and plentiful, with top ups of Yorkshire pud and gravy. The staff are extremely welcoming and you can tell they really want you to be comfortable and enjoy your dining experience, which we certainly did! We'll be back very soon!!
