Our family of 12 were made most welcome and received really attentive service from our friendly waiter. The food was perfect for all the family and really reasonably priced. Best steak I've tasted in a long time and sticky toffee pudding! Thank you

Small portion. Expensive. Food was ok but not worth the money. Actual pub was pleasent but plenty of other options within a few miles radius.

Only customer in there at lunchtime. Wasn't sure if it was open as it resembled a shop rather than a pub, with golfing merchandise everywhere. However, the barman was very professional, welcoming and pleasant and served me a perfectly acceptable sandwich and coffee very quickly - so no complaints there.

Locally sourced, fresh and cooked to perfection. It's a bit of a drive from Newcastle but we make the trip just for the traditional Sunday dinner. A casual dining experience in a warm and welcoming pub.

Staying in the hall overnight after booking in we thought we would give the Linden tree a go. We weren't too impressed and were relieved we had booked into the restaurant to have dinner.

We really wanted to enjoy the Linden Tree pub, as it was the first night of our holiday week. CONs: (1) Service was truly appalling: insufficient, undertrained staff, who insisted they get our drinks but then took half an hour to pick them up from the bar, failed to log our food order with the kitchen, leaving us waiting for... Situated as part of a hotel/spa/golf course complex. Not a true Pub but a bar/bistro with a bar area but also conservatory dining area. Food choice limited and when we visited fresh fish was not available. Food only average for cost with charred steak and large chips not impressive.Service reasonable but stretched. Good parking and toilets.

Recently enjoyed a 3 course meal in this venue. Staff friendly, venue very nice indeed. We decided to dine in the conservatory part of the building. Spacious and comfortable. Food arrived quickly, piping hot, fresh and tasty. Would recommend this to anyone wanting quality night out.

Enjoyed our three course dinner in the Linden Tree Pub. Portions were good and food was of good quality. The place was busy on a Tuesday evening and booking was essential. The staff were friendly and helpful but appeared to be a bit disorganised as there was a lot of running around. Would recommend and would go back again.
