Hidden gem in seahouses, great pasta and pizza, excellent staff, would highly recommend for a lovely dinner

We’ve been coming to this restaurant since it opened but haven’t been since 2019 what a disappointment it was. The restaurant is shabby, seating uncomfortably old and the ladies were tired. One staff member had dirty clothes on and filthy dirty hands and nails 🤮...another had very long hair not tied back! We had starters hubby had pate which was lovely and presented well. I had calamari which as a previous review said under cooked soggy batter and rubbery squid! We both had different pasta dishes hubby ordered penne inseme and I got fettuccine imperial, both were only just warm and sent back! Unbelievably when they were returned they both tasted the same how can that be!!! To add insult to all of this my beef was definitely NOT fillet steak! I called over the waiter who insisted it was and I was just as insistent it wasn’t! Someone else had said the same about their steak but I think trading standards should be the judge. My advice is don’t go find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money. We will never return sadly as we used to love the food here.More

Four years since my last review of this restuarant, although we ate here in 2021 between lockdowns too. No change in the excellent service or in the great food they serve. Unfortunately the menu was a little reduced due to an issue with the gas...supply to the cooking range, so no pasta dishes on the menu other than oven baked ones. However there was still plenty to choose from. All had starters, that were excellent and mains cooked to perfection, all good sized portions that left no room for desserts. The lack of pasta dishes was explained to us before being seated at our table, so plenty of time to go elsewhere if we didnt want to stay, unfortunately the gas cooker was serviced that afternoon and a part was required that the engineer didnt have with him. Not the restaurants fault and not fair to mark them down in a review. Others have done. Keep up the good work.More

Was really looking forward to a lovely Italian on the last night of our holiday. Got sat down to be told, no pasta due to issues with gas. Such a shame. Reluctantly we left. Maybe next time we will give it another try. 🤷

Decent restaurant where we had a mid week evening meal. We were a group of three and service was steady, they were in no rush to move us on quickly. Popped in on a very wet Saturday. Ordered 2 waters, a small house white wine and a beer. On ordering the filet steak, I asked what it came with as it wasn’t indicated on the menu. Answer, just the steak and garnish. Order filet steak...each (both medium/rare) a portion of chips and a portion of seasonal veg. When the steaks arrived I was shocked at the size (again, the weight isn’t indicated on the menu) and lack of thickness (approx 2cm) Not what you expect for £26.90 each. The steak was almost well done too, not medium/rare as ordered and tasteless. The chips were nice, for £4.50 extra, the veg was bland and watery, also an extra £4. All in all £80.20 for the worst experience, steak I’ve ever had. I pride myself on researching places to eat whilst we’re away so I’m truly disappointed to be writing this, especially when their website states that all steaks are served with chips and veg (screenshot attached) False advertising 😡 Won’t be back in a hurryMore

Best meal we had during our short break in Northumberland. If we lived nearby it would be a favourite restaurant. Friendly, efficient service. Food tasted freshly cooked and was beautifully presented. My sea bass was delicious, husband's calzone was well filled and much enjoyed. Busy...restaurant so best to book but there were a few spare tables the night we went so you might get in on speck. Worth a try.More

Pizzas we're freshly made but lasagne and the meat balls were obviously pre made and warmed up. It was luke warm with hot sauce on the top. Not worth the money .

As far as Italian restaurants go, this is just middle of the road food. Had really high hopes as never been before. Food isn’t bad, it just isn’t great. And the house wine is very poor. Really don’t think we’d go again.

Best food in Seahouses! Booked our table for my birthday and I was not disappointed. Our meal was just excellent, cooked to perfection, tasty and could not fault the service. One of the best meals I’ve ever had.
