Visited here on a Sunday, lots of tables reserved but staff said ok to sit there as long as we were gone by the reservation time. Lovely Sunday dinner, generous portion of meat and lovely traditional gravy.

Always a good pint in here, friendly locals. It has an awesome carvery which is every Sunday. Good pub for watching the footy too. Can't wait to visit again.

Lovely dinner. Best cavery in town. Great value. Three choices of meat. All the trimmings and sauces you can think of. Proper stock-based gravy.

Have been going to The Vale for years and seem to never be disappointed. Great selection of ciders and beers, food is best it’s been for years and can get served quite quickly! A bigger bonus is the upgrade outside, much better quality!

Nice traditional pub. Thought the carvery would be a nice change - it wasn't. Poor quality meat (and over cooked) and tasteless veg. The choices were beef turkey and gammon. I asked for some cranberry sauce as they had horseradish and mint (?) Out. It...More
