Had a wonderful visit with a few friends. Would come back especially for the wonderful Olivia who served us. She was such a kind, well mannered young lady. Definitely a star within the cafe.

Web site showed dog friendly, but after a 40mile drive with dog, stopped at the cafe to find no dogs allowed. Update your site as just while we we where there 3 couples with dogs walked away, your loss.
I go to the café on my bike two or three times a week " this should tell you something " such a nice place with very friendly staff and very fair pricing. Now that the new visitor centre over the road has opened and...has proven to be an expensive place to eat the café can get very busy at times but don't let this put you off. A very good café indeed.More
We were staying at Sherwood Pines campsite so a pleasant walk up to the cafe and we had lunch from the takeaway 5 minute wait for 2 panninis and they were very good nice and hot with crisps and a small portion of mixed salad...leaves with a balsamic dressing. As they do breakfast from 0900 we walked up for Sunday breakfast and had the large breakfast with a portion of scrambled egg for our dog (yes we took his bowl he didn't eat off the plate) and black coffee for himself and mocha for me everything lovely and hot. We had lunch there twice more and all I can say is the food is good and the cakes are to die for husband loves scones and had these twice. All the staff were great friendly and helpful even put the cakes in a box so we could take some home with us but a special thanks to Lauren (hope I got that right) who provided menus for us to take back to the campsite.More
Why do the new coffee machines only serve Luke warm coffee. I like a nice hot cup of coffee but here in the cafe at Sherwood it’s cool. Not good
We went today with our daughter. We ordered a cream tea, a cheese scone and pickle, sausage roll and 2 teas , 2 cartins of pop. Not an amazing order i know. Scones were warm not microwave, freshly cooked. Pickle amazing. Friendly, courteous and couldnt...be more attentive if you were spending hundreds of pounds.More
We waited for a considerable amount of time to place our order, even though the queue was very short. The options were all served with chips, when we asked if we could purchase an item without the chips, for our one year old, we were...told this would not be possible and the only option would be to purchase a full meal served in the same box. When I questioned this again they went into the kitchen and came back repeating that all food had to be served as a meal, all in the same container, with chips! We subsequently ordered the full meal before waiting nearly 30 minutes for it to arrive. We asked the person serving us to pass on our feedback, regarding suitable food for children, to which they replied that they agree with us but that there was nothing that could be done. If we had been able to purchase a single food item for our child, then we would have purchased an additional meal but instead I settled with the chips that we had to have as part of his meal, that he would not be eating. Usually we would have also purchase extras on a trip out like this, cake, a coffee etc, but we were so miffed with the service that we only purchased enough to sustain us until we headed home. Clearly the management decisions are very poor and too bureaucratic to allow staff to make the smallest decisions, not enabling them to provide a good standard of customer service. We are regular visitors to the area but will be finding somewhere else to eat in future.More
Good Evening, We would like to thank you for taking the time to write your review. We apologise that your visit with us didn’t meet your expectations. This weekend was our first weekend open in a long time and we are currently operating a takeaway...More
We visited here for lunch during half term. It was very busy and we had to queue for about 10 minutes, not a problem and all at a social distance. We only had to wait about 15 minutes for our food which was great. We...had panninis, cheesy chips and a jacket potato. It was reasonably priced for quality and location. Staff were great and again it was all very safe and socially distanced. As we had a dog we sat outside which was fine and there was a dog bowl for her.More
If you visit Sherwood Forest, pop in to the cafe in the Art & Craft centre. They make fresh scones daily and their cheese-scones are to die for... MRS Urbansdotter
Food is always good albeit a bit pricey for a cafe. I have been visiting this cafe on and off over several years and the bacon roll is the best item on the menu
Sadly, although there was an indoor atrium with paved area and lots of seats, animals are not allowed. Given that there are lots of small businesses there, and a captive audience of dog walkers this seems ludicrous in todays market. Why can't they have the...rule that dogs are to be kept in the atrium?More
It appears your have posted this on The Cafe in Sherwood Forests Page, and whilst we are located in the Art and Craft centre, we do not make the rules. Removing this and posting it in the correct location would be perfect, thank you for...More
Live very close & this is one our favourite spots on a sunny (or rainy) afternoon. Lovey place to have a light lunch or cuppa surrounded by arts, crafts & gift shops right in the heart of the forest.
We called into the Centre and decided to have a coffee. 2 coffees and a scone were £7 which I feel was a little expensive
Went here after visiting the Major Oak and had tea and scones served by friendly staff in a covered courtyard surrounded by interesting touristy shops.
Loved to stop here for a quick bite and a drink and did today as well...only just though! That many signs telling you no dogs allowed you actually start to feel like they don't want business from people who dare to have a Dog!!!! Given...the volume of people walking with dogs the people that work here and run these place out to think about how much money walks past the door. Had to stay outside in the cheap seats and struggled to find one that wasn't wet. Coffee is ok, doesn't taste like illy for some reason.More
