Lovely food, very quiet but it was a Monday. We waited a little while for food., then the manager came and said food only just gone through as printer hadn’t worked to kitchen. Apologised and asked if we wanted another drink. We declined but within...minutes the food was served, and well worth the wait. Both mains were superbly cooked , I often find it difficult to choose as a vegetarian but plenary of choice. Service was good and price. Will definitely return as this was a quick stop off for us today.More

Staff and service good . My friend and I both decided to have a roast . One beef one chicken. The beef was undercooked despite the fact that my friend was asked how he would like it cooked. Roast potatoes looked nice but although the...outside was brown and crispy the inside wasn't cooked. I couldn't understand why there was half a red onion on my plate! It was my birthday and we were both disappointed. We could have gone to a Toby Carvery for half the price but we wanted the lunch to be special r wanted the lunch to be specialMore

We went for Sunday lunch with my daughter and my wife they had roast chicken and I had roast beef can't fault the quality of the meet even though I only got two small slices of beef and at £17 thats not good value for...the money, The vegetables consisted of one piece of broccoli and one piece of cauliflower and a lonely carrot the veg was completely tasteless the whole thing was topped with a Yorkshire pudding with the gravy being wishy washy we won't be rushing back anytime soon. I Don't know where the chef was trained but he must have been off the day they covered seasoning.More

We have eaten at The Railway and it’s sister pubs The Radcliffe & The Plough many many times over the last few years including Sunday takeaways during lockdown , the quality has always been excellent at all three . Today at Lunchtime (Easter Saturday) the...food was out of this world , the taste was unbelievable and the quality of the food was exceptional . As well as the brilliant main dishes our desserts were absolutely stunning .More

I brought my elderly and disabled parents for an unplanned lunch. The staff were exceptional, they sat them as close to the bathrooms as possible. My Father is blind and they did not bat an eye lid when he ate with his fingers and even...provided extra plate so we could separate his food for him. The food was of very high standard, well presented and delicious. The menu is well balanced, plenty of choice for all dietary requirements and a little different. We will definitely be going back.More

This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. Beautiful pub inside, tables well spaced apart. All 3 of us had different dishes and they were all delicious, I was only sorry I didn’t have room for dessert as they also looked amazing....Very attentive staff too.More

A welcome return to this first class destination. A varied menu, which reflected the Festive season, but also included a range of other non Xmas options, Great quality food and attentive service, with the staff providing a birthday surprise without any prompting from us.

We were a mixed group we all ate different meals but four had the Christmas fare for the price of meal we were disappointed to receive turkey off a roll extremely thinly sliced , some of the vegetables were ok not overcooked but still on...the crunchy side but the brussel sprouts were uncooked , we all know not to over cook vegetable’s I would go as far to say these were raw , the roast potatoes I’m not 100 % sure but they were very much like frozen ones the outsides were so crispy to cut into but the insides were hard the pub itself was very nice as were the staff it had lovely surroundings and was it a comfortable place to eat but we expected something better for the cost of the meals , my grandson and I were looking forward to sorlion but think £24 was to expensive 🙁More

Dogs are allowed inside and out, just not in the restaurant area. You can still eat in the bar area with a dog.
