Nice breakfast - chip on coffee mug - asked for hot milk for Americano coffee only luke warm waiter was not keen on changing it. Unacceptable!!!!!! Sd it was hot!!!!!! Needs to listen to customers. Steep on service charge would not have given him £5...!!!!!!More

Such a lovely vibe to this bar/restaurant wether just for drinks, food or both.I ate with friends last night and the food and service was excellent ..looking lovely and cosy with the Christmas decorations and roaring fire..Will definitely be in again soon ..

Really enjoyed our lunch here. We chose Tapas and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. Can't wait to do it again.

Took ages to get a drink. Food service slow too and missing items that we had to ask for. General standard of food was good to be fair. Forget having a conversation though as if you sit out that back part of the restaurant the...column is like waiting in a nightclub! Our table of 4 struggled to have a conversation and literally bolted our food so we could get out to go to a pub where we could actually catch up!!More

Nice warm welcome from Ian on arrival, adequate car parking, lovely atmosphere in the restaurant for Sunday lunch. Great menu, plenty of choices for the most discerning of diner. We chose various starters, all good value, then roasts to follow. (Beef and chicken in our...case). Served piping hot by competent waitresses, all with good table side etiquette and well drilled in customer service. Pleasant experience, value for money, food excellent, will be booking again! This is my second visit where there has been an unfriendly fairly rude female member of staff. The staff member in question really needs to improve on her customer service skills and the way she publicly spoke to her colleague on two occasions made me...feel uncomfortable. Starting with a positive the food was great, couldn’t fault it. The service however needs looking at. We were stood a while waiting to be greeted, no one seemed to want to acknowledge us, Eventually we were seated and the tables around us we all...complaining which immediately sent out a bad vibe. The table behind us left abruptly because they had waited ages and no drinks were brought out, breakfast stated to arrive but still no drinks. The table adjacent to us were not happy about the service either and another table had been waiting half an hour to pay their bill. It seems there is a whole lot of new staff in there who were obviously struggling. We were not offered drinks first just went straight into food order, I asked if we could get drinks first but that didn’t happen although our food came out quickly. We asked for more drinks after we’d eaten but no one came to take our order or clear our table so we decided to pay up and leave. The head waiter apologised and said he would take 10% off the bill which was appreciated but we’d have sooner have had the good service that is expected in Il Rosso, needs a shake up I’m afraid!More

Lovely atmosphere, staff great as always however though the Sunday lunch was very tasty, it served warm not hot..

I received a very welcoming and professional reception to this restaurant. It’s a smart space and though busy the tables are well spaced and it’s good to be able to talk with ease. . Quite a long wait for the food but we all agreed...the quality was very good. The lamb dish was highly rated so too the tapas dishes. Wine prices by the glass are pretty steep for Mansfield, in that they were slightly dearer than the restaurant I visited in Cornwall last week! Disappointed to hear that the Service Charge added to the bill does not 100% go to all staff but part to the owners. I think this must affect staff morale and how they feel valued. Front of houses staff were friendly and hardworking. I will definitely return as I think it’s a class above - food-wise and layout - most of the restaurants in the surrounding area but does need to get food out a little quicker. it would be good to know hardworking kitchen and front of house staff get 100% of the tips, which happens in most places these days.More

3 star at best. The service both times i have come now has been shocking. The food at a previous visit was great, we opted for tapas. However the service really let the place down, to the point we felt the waitresses where avoiding our...table. But as the food was so good we booked to go again and came on 11th Oct for my birthday where we were let down yet again by the service. The guy on front of house was friendly enough but the waitresses service not so great. We felt like we where a burden like they couldnt be bothered to serve us and service was extremely slow. This was a lunch time too so not sure what was taking so long. The restaurant was extremely hot and many flies, i know flies cant be helped but the temperature was ridiculous. Not only this the food really wasnt great this time either. Because of this I won’t be attending again, if you are looking for a nice meal with great customer service unfortunately this place just isnt it.More
