About
The Red Lion is a small, traditional English village pub, run by hands-on owners and a small staff team. We have a bar, meeting room and a dining room. There is a log burner in the bar. The pub is carpeted throughout. The terrace at the front is a lovely spot to eat and drink in the warmer weather. We have a selection of real ales brewed by Hook Norton. Lagers, cider and Guinness are also available. A selection of wines is also available by the glass. We specialise in delicious, thin crust pizzas with a good selection of toppings, which are served every day. We also fry fish and chips and serve great steak, burgers and pies. We have catered for vegans and gluten free requests. We are pet-friendly

We had visited this pub the previous afternoon but it was closed until 5.30pm so we went elsewhere but returned at lunchtime the next day. I got the feeling that this is a favoured "local" for nearby farmers and residents. Friendly landlord and a varied...More

Met up with my children and grand-children for a pub lunch. Very friendly and a charming environment. Good food and service will call again on my next visit to Steeple Aston.

Definitely the best pizza in Oxfordshire. The other food is good too and it’s a great little village pub which always has a few good beers on. Sometimes gets surprisingly lively late on if you stick around!

Stumbled across this little country pub. What a gem, Arancini balls made by Ella were divine so was the bruchetta. Stunning Sunday lunch followed by waffles ice cream and salted caramel sauce. Very highly recommended, thank you Ella for the great service.
