A good place to take visitors as it has a nice atmosphere and the staff are welcoming. I have had a few Sunday lunches there and has always been good. I've been happy with all other meals too. Lucky to have this as a local.

Food was lovely, wife had a lamb dish which was plentiful and I had fish which was very nice. staff knowledgable and welcoming. The bread was a novel touch, small loaf. Will be going back in the near future.

The Thatch is run by the award-winning Peach Pub Company. Founder, Lee Cash, was one of Raymond Blanc's inspectors on the TV show and, with co-founder Hamish Stoddart, was recently named in the Observer's Future 500 survey as one of the UK's Top 50 Talents in food.
