About
Situated in the heart of Oswestry, the Simla Tandoori Restaurant is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Shropshire and the surrounding areas. The perfect blend of traditional Indian cooking served with Shropshire hospitality, the Simla in Beatrice Street Oswestry serves classical Indian food. Celebrating over 3 decades of culinary excellence this family owned business has created mouth-watering Indian dishes that replicate the high quality of cuisine enjoyed by the army officers at the old hill station in north west India during the British raj, from which the restaurant draws its name.

Very welcoming staff, especially the manager, George and his wife. Large party of over twenty were all treated in a friendly manner and orders were taken efficiently and all the food was really enjoyed by everybody. Good rapport with the serving staff.

When I researched Indian restaurants in Oswestry this came out on top and as the number 1 place to go. Well if that's the case I'd hate to see what the others are like. Perfectly standard Indian menu and nothing-more-than-average food. Burnt rice and some...More
