Went here for the first time this week and have to say it’s the best Indian in Bridgwater by a mile , nice place spotlessly clean , great food and great service . They are also doing their own eat out scheme of £5 off per person which basically gives you your starter for free .will be back

Ordered our takeaway from the Spice Gallery last night. Absolutely beautiful food cooked to perfection and alao very generous portions. It was the first time we used the delivery service and the food was delivered a good 10-15 minutes earlier than the estimated time so bonus all round. Looking forward to the next time already.

When visiting friends in a nearby village we decided to have one last meal out before the recent lockdown came into force. We stumbled across this restaurant on social media and we are so glad that we followed the reviews and took the decision to visit. They were very accommodating for three adults and a toddler booking into the restaurant. On arrival we were blown away by the decor and the layout of the restaurant it has a very modern trendy touch to it but with bundles of atmosphere. The staff were amazing and very attentive, while adhering to social distancing and wearing ppe as required. The staff were very accommodating for a fussy toddler and recommended great food and samples for him to try which he was thrilled with. The adults all finished their food which was exceptional and beautifully presented too, and then came the cocktails. They were traditional but also included some new mixes which worked very well together. The restaurant itself is very well laid out especially for the current situation with tables spaced out, and tables vigorously sanitised in between guests and there are hand sanitise stations on entry and around the restaurant for when moving to the toilet area etc. Although offering a take out service this is a separate area to diners and on collection where guidelines are adhered too. It was really busy for take out, which I guess the amazing food in restaurant followed through to delivery. We will definitely visit again when we can. Well worth it if you are in the area.

It is difficult to know how to rate The Spice Gallery as the food is nice enough, it's just vastly overpriced for what is a pretty standard Indian restaurant. We have eaten in the restaurant once and got a takeaway and both times we were left feeling disappointed - not by the food but by how much we had paid for it.
We would love to support a local business more but no matter how tasty it is, paying £50 for a single course dinner for two + one drink each is crazy. If they dropped the price by a third we would come again but until then we can't justify paying city prices in a Somerset village. It's no wonder the place was almost empty, which is a shame as the food is nice.

Disappointed. The food is good but the service was very slow. We had arrived at 7.30 and by 9.30 the food had just arrived at the table! They did apologize for the wait after we started to look fed up but we were getting to the point of walking out! I believe the main problem was the amount of takeaways being taken through the restaurant was incredible so maybe it would of been quicker to stay at home and order a takeaway. we told some friends who also eat there and they said they had the same problem a few weeks ago. We and our friends said we will not now be going back to this restaurant and this is a sham as we had been coming there for many years. i recommend they look at not taking on so many take away orders and deal with customers in their restaurant first!

Food was beautiful but a little pricey, it was quite quiet when were there even though it was a Saturday evening. The waiters were both pleasant, we unfortunately did think there was no really ambiance in the restaurant and the wall where we sat had very flaky paint which didn’t make a great impression. All in all we enjoyed our meal and would recommend a visit if your in the area.

Visited this little gem when we are visiting our friends..the restaurant was very quite when we walked in the manager said we will be busy this evening and to his exact words the restaurant was buzzing in the next hour ..we ordered for starter Tiger prawn puri and fir laind Chicken chettinad and lamb shank both are cooked to perfection ..the waiting staff explained while serving about the food, egg fried rice and garlic naan just added to the richness of the curry. When we requested for the bill the manager came with complimentary baileys and spoke to us briefly about the restaurant and how they have been adjusting to the new demands of the customers ( the waiting staff are brilliant) He also informed they just started new delivery service. I know where to go when Iam next in Bridgwater.. great food and service

So I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened 10+ years ago, it relaunched it's self in the last couple week's and let me tell you this was the best meal I have ever eaten here...
The food is the most authentic Indian food I've has in the South West in a long long time (I've been to India 11 times, I can tell the difference)!!! The Nan bread's are soft and fluffy how they should be - I can only assume the are now using a real Tandoori Oven or something pretty damn similar.
The food and spices are cooked to perfection- complements to the chef, the portions are generous but not too so and you don't get that heavy (I'm a pig feeling) after.
The decoration is not too much and much more open planned and comfortable somewhere you can easily relax for a few hours and enjoy the great experience.
This place comes highly recommended by yours truly if you want to spend you money wisely.

Ordered over the phone for delivery, we had a lamb chops and onion Bhaji for starter and slag the dragon and chicken dhansak for mains. The food came before than expected. Al dishes are nice and delicious. We will order again.

Spent my birthday evening here recently and from start to finish absolutely outstanding food & service! It is quite honestly the best Indian around locally and if you haven’t been you are seriously missing it. Me and my hubby tried different dishes and could not fault a single thing, so full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The staff that work here cater for you from the minute you walk through the door, nothing is too much trouble and they are just genuine kind lovely people. You really could not wish to spend a child free night any where else with a cocktail or two!! A massive thank you for my cake and candles too, not forgetting the singing of happy birthday 😂

Myself and my parents have been using this Indian restaurant for over 10 and are always pleased. My partner has been joining us in loving the Spice Gallety cuisine for over 5 years and has not been disappointed.
Last night myself and my partner attended for the first time since the redecorating had been done and I think they did a great job, much more cozy and intimate now which I love.
Yesterday was my birthday and I was surprised by a member of staff bringing me a cocktail, I was very pleasantly surprised with the cocktail as usually I am quite fussy and don't like at least one of the ingredients but as I was drinking Malibu they knew I liked rum and decided to make me a spiced rum cocktail and it had lovely fresh strawberries in too, it was amazing, so so tasty and a lovely birthday treat! Further to this, at the end of our meal, the wonderful staff brought out a gorgeous decadent chocolate cake with candles and sang happy Birthday to me! It was just sublime and I couldn't of asked for more, it was a fantastic evening and those added touches really made my Birthday that extra special.
So I want to say Thank You to everyone at the Spice Gallery for an amazing night and of course, we will see you soon.

This Indian is based in North petherton, they deliver their fresh food where ever you like.
The onion baji were the best iv ever had and the meat in curry was soft and succulent, the spices used in the food could be tasted unlike other takeaways that over power it with chilly powder.

This jewel in the village of North Petherton is the finest Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating in. I have lived in Taunton for 9 years now and have always had superb takeaways (during Covid) and when the restaurant reopens I will be knocking on the door to be one of the first back. The menu is comprehensive and no matter what I have chosen I have always enjoyed my selection! I've even raved about their chappatis! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant because I am certain that nobody would come away disappointed!

Weve ordered a Summer Bbq pack today along with other curries as well. One thing for sure i can say the meat is very and good portion for the price. The curries which we ordered are very delicious and definitely of high standard. The delivery is very pleasant and delivered in time. We will definitely order again and support this beautiful restaurant.

Fantastic affordable food. Great service, the waiters were very kind, especially to our children and were lovely to advise which meals were suitable for the children in terms of spice! The naan was so great we asked for another. Lovely biscuits with the bill was icing on the cake! Thanks so much for an enjoyable evening.
