We eat there fairly often, usually with friends, and have never been disappointed, good food, well served and at reasonable prices

I think this is one of the area's best local pubs we have always found the landlord very polite to us and very friendly. The food is all homemade and delicious.

I've been to the Tynte Arms on many occasions - and Sunday lunch is extremely good value and very tasty. I've always found the landlord to be pleasant - and was surprised at some of the other reviews. I've been for Sunday lunch many times, each time seeing large family groups with children and there has never been any issues... More

We don't live very near this pub so have only visited a few times but the fact that we have been prepared to return a number of times will tell you that we have enjoyed our visit. It is a warm comfortable pub which serves decent food.

Myself and a friend had a meal at the Tynte arms whilst staying in a wig wam nearby. After reading the reviews we were expecting a bad meal. We entered the pub and were greeted at the bar by the landlord. Admittedly the landlord is not the most sociable man however was very polite and accommodating of us. I notice... More

After visiting Fyne Court with 2 friends and there well mannered 3 year old we decided to stop for a snack lunch prior to our evening Sunday Roast. We also had our 4 year old son with us who often dines out and is very polite and well behaved in an adult environment. Advertising outside stated full menu and fish... More

If you want a traditional Somerset pub, complete with cosy old fashioned interior, good food and friendly service then look no further. The landlord has a wicked dry sense of humor (you have been warned!), and as this is a traditional pub it is an adult, rather than family, environment. We had a great night out, good range of ales,... More

Please don't go here. If it wasn't for the other staff working there (who were apologetic about the landlord) I would be rating this place as terrible. We phoned in advance to book a table and he was very rude. We ended up going there for lunch, as it was a convenient place to meet other members of our group... More

After being informed by the in laws that this pub had some lovely food my partner and I thought we'd try it out... lovely setting and view but thats about as good as it got. The landlord is a grumpy old man of which made several remarks about me as I am london born and bred (dad serving 22 years... More

I have been to pubs/restaurants all over the world and in the Tynte Arms I managed to stumble across the rudest most ignorant landlord I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He does not welcome families and seems to hate children. The guy was a real life Victor Meldrew without the comedy value. I would recommend you avoid this... More

Description
The Tynte offers tasty meals in our cosy bar or a full menu of seriously good food in our restaurant. Our menu is written on blackboards enabling us to change it regularly and use seasonal local produce. The menu includes freshly prepared, home cooked steaks, pies, salads, vegetarian dishes, a lighter lunch menu and often a set menu. Fresh fish is something of a speciality and for Sunday lunch we offer a traditional roast.
