As far as we can remember, this was the first time we had ever stopped at this pub for a meal. This is such a shame, as we enjoyed ourselves. Because the M5 motorway was chock-a-block with traffic, we decided to drive the back roads from the Somerset Levels to our holiday cottage in Burnham-On -Sea. Fate must have been... More

It makes a nice change to re visit a pub / Resturant and know that you will not be disappointed . Keep it up, all your hard work is paying dividends. Tasty food and always served piping hot.

Midway though a walk around Sedgemoor district we called in at the Sedgemoor Inn on spec. for a beer and a sandwich. We received a warm welcome and good service. The baguettes complete with salad and chips arrived shortly and were washed down with some excellent beer. There is quite a comprehensive menu of food, lite bites and specials off... More

Had a lovely meal here but choice was limited as no steaks at all . One ordered an adult burger and was told well after no regular bun to put it in only a childs size. Offered wrong meals even tho all tables are numbered. Wait time not bad as it was quiet.

Called into to discuss menu for a family get together this weekend. Very friendly, we decided to have a lite lunch whilst having a drink - both us meals were hot and delicious. Menu all sorted for the family party - very accommodating.

Visited historic village and enjoyed church next door. Went to pub for warming brandy, was a it disappointed as our guide book said pub was full of memorabilia from Monmouth's rebellion and we didn't see any, but it was warm and friendly.

This fascinating village was the site of the Battle of Sedgemoor in 1685 - The last time Englishmen fought each other in civil war, and the Sedgemoor Inn was already in business! Enjoy good pub food and drink at sensible prices in this proper village inn. Look out for the list of landlords dating back to the 17th century, and... More

Great little pub, with loads of history. After all, St. Mary's Church next door was the final scene of the Monmouth rebellion. The food is good value, and not the franchised rubbish that has befallen so many English pubs. Well worth a visit!

Just had lunch at the Sedgemoor. We had a wonderfully warm welcome and the food - particularly the whitebait - was very good. They serve a great pint, too. Will definitely be back for more than just a snack next time!
