I ate here with my family today and cannot believe the experience. We ordered ham egg and chips and a ham ploughmans for my husband. After eating about half of my meal I found a hair on my egg which immediately put me off. My husband was disappointed also with his ploughmans which was basic and over-priced. However what made... The second time we have been here; the range of beers is good, the food is typical pub food but well done and freshly prepared (so be ready for a wait). The fish portions were generous; the lasagne was excellent and the chilli con carne tasty and filling. If you sit upstairs there is a splendid view of the pier... More

Our TDC4 group enjoyed the corner table with a view of the pier, the three large cod & chips, the daily special alternate take on lasagne, the Old Rosie cider and the real ale. Coupled with the warm friendly atmosphere it is an enjoyable relaxing place to eat and we shall return as we have on previous occasions.

We had a meal from the specials board, the moussaka was very tasty, the service was quick and it was great value for money. The view of the pier from the upstairs restaurant is lovely,

Stunning view from the first floor. Our fish was really tasty, with lots of fresh vegetables. Affordable prices, nice service. Will definitely come back again.

This restaurant has superb views of the pier and seafront however this does not matter on a cold january evening. having booked a table we expected to be given a decent position on the first floor , the tables were so close together that we had to move the table, this allowed the lady at the adjoining table from sticking...
