Had the fish and chips, worst I have ever eaten. The fish was overcooked and the batter was inedible. The skin on chips were soggy and greasy. The chips that came with the other meals, i.e. the fried chicken and burger were thin and crispy...so why serve soggy chips with the fish.More

Truly ‘A Great British Pub’. We spent 5 days in Dulverton and The Bridge was our pub of choice. Great location, great food, great beer - even Leffe on draught - and most importantly, great staff. They’re also dog friendly throughout. We had lunches and...dinners there and were not disappointed at all. Well done to all.More

The Bridge Inn exudes rustic charm and warmth, making it the perfect escape for a memorable Sunday roast. From the moment you step inside, the cozy ambiance envelopes you, with the crackling open fire casting a welcoming glow.Upon arrival, we were greeted with genuine hospitality,...setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The attentive service ensured that every need was promptly met, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit. The star of the show - the roast dinner. It's rare to find a roast that truly stands out, but The Bridge Inn exceeded all expectations. The succulent meats, perfectly roasted and accompanied by an array of seasonal vegetables, were a delight for the senses. Each bite was bursting with flavor, a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality ingredients.More

During our week in Dulverton we ate here three times. The food is excellent, much better than average pub fayre and you do get a choice of plate sizes too. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive. I highly recommend that you visit for...a meal or a drink and will hopefully return.More

Excellent quality and plenty of superb meat cuts with very nicely cooked vegetables. Variety of long cooked meat - beef and lamb - with pork and nut roast. Really tasty. Could not eat it all. Good choice of deserts. The beers and wines were very...good as well. Very nice atmosphere with helpful and attentive staff. Since a new lease holder took over has really upped its game. Freshly decorated and furnished. Smart and relaxed. Very happy indeed and will go back. Also had dinner here a couple of days ago and was as good. Well worth a visit. Good value for money. Strongly recommend The Bridge. With a two year old and he was well catered for with smaller (but still very good size) portions.More

Booked for Sunday lunch on a miserable, damp day in February, but the fire and the friendly welcome from all the staff soon warmed us up. The rare roast beef was sensational, accompanied by excellent roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots and savoy cabbage, but an unusual...highlight was the beetroot, roasted with cumin - quite superb. A good range of starters and desserts was on offer too. When a pub lunch is as good as this there’s nowhere else you want to be. Well done!More

Our regular eatery in Dulverton was closed so we stopped in here for a light bite. What a discovery, very friendly service, very dog friendly and a beautiful roast beef sandwich. A very presentable pub that is with a visit. Will be back.

Booked a late Sunday lunch on News Years Eve-- it was fantastic absolutely delicious. The staff and owner were great fun and extremely helpful and the service was top marks. In the evening there was music and dancing, one of the best New Year Eves...we have had in a while. We will definitely be booking again for Sunday lunch and also trying the food on another day . Well done.More

Excellent food and service on a busy New Year’s Eve. Special mention to Helen who was super friendly and helpful, and also Daniel. The service and approach makes such a difference. We were 2 couples who had booked Sunday lunch whilst staying at caravan site...nearby. We also popped in several times for drinks during our stay over the new year period. We all had starters and roast dinners (including one vegan which was super) and some desserts, plus wine, beer and other drinks. All enjoyed and would recommend. Nothing any of us would change. Great atmosphere and service. Really good to have vegan options for starters, mains and desserts. Highly recommended. Would revisit.More

What a terrible experience. Having been going there for so many years, the new owners have dragged this Dulverton pub down I’m afraid. On entering the reception from the manager was frosty to say the least, almost a sense she could do without us being...there! The food was awful, the croquettes were soggy and bland with a token limp lettuce leaf to accompany them. The mains were equally disappointing with the chicken goujons leaving me wishing I’d gone to KFC for a better meal, all of us had an epic fail, such a shame given how this was a good pub previously.More

This was the first time we have been since the new owners took over and will not be returning. We don’t mind basic food if it fresh and cooked well but the food was not good at all. The croquettes were so so full of...wet potato they had broken open. All of the food was below average. I’m afraid the lady who seemed to be managing was not particularly pleasant, nor smiley. I’m afraid this once cosy pub has lacked atmosphere so that, coupled with the sub standard food means we won’t be returning.More
