Food excellent - service friendly and prompt. Very busy Friday evening and although it was quite noisy sitting to a table of 12 celebrating, this didn't detract from our enjoyment. Lovely open fire to sit by with coffee to end the evening.
So we booked with our friends for a Wednesday night curry and comedians night. We arrived around 6.30 with kick off at 8pm we'd not done it before so decide to get there early. Excellent beer and Cider on tap made the wait really enjoyable....More

If you could tell me that room you stayed in and what happened I may be able to help you throw some light on the experience. The pub was completely gutted upstairs and the layout changed some 5 years ago and I hope your spooky experience didn't put you off.
