Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a lovely pub! Great atmosphere, the landlord and regulars were so welcoming. Would highly recommend.

No wonder people travel from all over the world to visit this shrine to local cider. If you like cider then this is your Valhalla.

Visited this place a couple of times during our camping trip to Watchett. Great little place. Loads of different scrumpy ciders to choose from. The place has a great atmosphere but it can get busy due to its limited size and popularity. Customers are allowed to buy food from local take aways and eat in the bar which was great. We love the place.

Character packed and very friendly barman and locals who we chatted with. They do not serve food but you can take fish and chips in which are next door or food from the local deli. Awesome selection of locally sourced ciders

Service warm and friendly but the best is they are happy (really happy) for you to eat the fish and chips from next door in the pub. Seriously good decision. Totally recommend it.

We popped in on a friday night while on a weekend visit. Long thin pub and bit of a squeeze to get to the bar which was worth it, I told the barmaid i didn't fancy medium cider, and she told me they had a dry one out in the back tap room and poured one for me. Nice drop. we sat near the door and live music started up which was good, We didn't fancy pushing through the throng enjoying the music so moved on. Nice place for a visit and if you like real cider it's your heaven

The only place to go if you enjoy your cider. CAMRA SW Cider pub of the year again in 2023. Very handy that you can take fish and chips in from next door, or a sandwich from Sam's Deli. If only more pubs were as flexible!

We visited whilst in holiday in doniford Bay. Had seen reviews so decided to try it. This pub is a gem.... Full of atmosphere... staff are all friendly.. Furnishings are very eclectic and different.. Great ambience with the lighting. Amazing range of drinks.. Inc huge range of ciders and some good ales. You can bring food in with you as they don't have a kitchen. So we had fish and chips in their from next doors chip shop. Best fish and chips I've ever had... We went back 3 times as we loved it so much. Within a 2 min walk from the harbour.. it's centrally located in watchett.. We cant wait to go back later in the year. Thanks Pebbles tavern for helping make our holiday great.

Amazing little place that is deceiving from the outside. Very friendly, good selection of drinks and very often live music, sometimes just ad-hoc jamming, or somebody will call in and play the piano! Fantastic!

Walking down the coast, came across this pub during a rain storm. Has only a small front; but when I peered through the window, I beheld a longish, narrow, one-unit bar, containing afternoon drinkers and cosy lighting and decor, so I stepped in. Was staying in Watchet that night, so had two sessions in Pebbles Tavern, pleasurably drinking my way along their row of ciders and beyond into the hidden ones round the back. Each cider was well kept and interesting. Pure stuff, no hangover next day. As I chatted to the friendly locals and bar staff, I learned this to be an award-winning cider pub, which devotedly hosts a knowledgeable variety of Somerset ciders and perries. So excellent were the ciders that I realised I'd accidentally hit the jackpot with this tavern. By a distance the best pub of the many (apologies to my liver) I visited on the whole of my coastal walk from Bristol to Bideford. I'd recommend Pebbles to everyone who visits Watchet, because it's a treasure, a feature. Even if you don't drink cider (and there's also some ale), it's an intimate little den with a relaxing feel and a sense of welcome. On a rainy day in particular, what else could you do in Watchet? (You can also eat your fish & chips inside, bought from the decent chippie next door.) Much love to Pebbles Tavern.

Visited a couple of times. Enjoyed fish and chips from next door. Atmosphere is really friendly and relaxed. Wachet is a great place to visit and the tavern is a great place to try local ciders.

Excellent chance to sample local ciders in an original and convivial atmosphere. No food, but you can bring in fish and chips from next door if you want.

Absolutely fabulous in every way x Excepted my dog .... got fish and chip from the chippy next door and ate them in the pub. Lots of choice with drinks but I went for their special hedgerow gin and plenty of it! It's a little gem and in the village of Watchet this is the best place by far. Well done Dean . This place is wonderful. We will be back. Meanwhile look after Garth for me !!

This is my family’s second visit to Watchet and Pebbles. Pebbles’ atmosphere, range of drinks and superb Guinness (my husband is from Dublin and knows a good Guinness when he tastes one) were a huge part of why we returned. We were encouraged to come back a week later this year, as the Pebbles staff and clientele were buzzing about the upcoming Watchet Festival, so on their recommendation we came this year and got tickets for the festival too. It was a blast! The service here is great and we have never been made to feel unwelcome. They also have great live music (the gypsy Jazz band that played on bank holiday Monday were insanely talented!). This is a wonderful little gem in Watchet’s treasure chest. Thanks chaps!

Stayed a couple of weeks in Watchet and enjoyed several evenings, trying out different on tap ciders, the Watchet cider was a clear favourite, delicious! The place itself is open and welcoming, so much so that you can't always find a seat but we just returned when it was quieter.
