This was a quaint little pub in the main part of Wincanton. The service was excellent and the food was good. Would recommend this pub for good food. We were a family of 4 Adults and did'nt have to pre book a table.

Well, thats what they taste like! As Nadia says on TV, you can tell the quality of a restaurant by the chips they make. The ones sold here are great.

This is a lovely pub that is well decorated and maintained and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we found the food to be very average/poor quality. Some of it was burnt and only one of us finished their meal. This isn't somewhere we'll...More

Had a great time in this quaint little pub. Very well kept selection of beers. The management and staff were very welcoming and helpful. There is a nice beer garden at the rear. Very relaxing place with good, low level music.

We had a wonderful lunch here today, the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you so much for having us!

I feel slightly odd for doing a review on a pub for one of their specials but it really was that good. I'm a fan of Brisket (and the Short Rib connected cut of beef) and this was a particularly good example. Topped up with...More

Went for a meal with my three grown kids. One had great fish and chips really well done. Another had the rib eye steak which was ok. Great sides of crunchy onion rings too. Then the burgers arrived and oh dear the chicken and classic...More

Called in for lunch and the food was ok, but took quite a while to come. Not a lot to complain about but not much to rave about either. Just an average pub really. Not worth the additional stop on our journey home!

Based on good reviews and gluten free options we decided to stop off for lunch on our way to Exeter. This was awful and we'll have to take the waitresses word for it as per the title. Quite pleasant inside but chilly and I had...More
