I feel slightly odd for doing a review on a pub for one of their specials but it really was that good. I'm a fan of Brisket (and the Short Rib connected cut of beef) and this was a particularly good example. Topped up with some tasty fries and coleslaw. I know some have mentioned the food was slow to... More

I went here last Sunday with a friend & her baby. We arrived about 11:45am which was 15 minutes before they opened but they were more than happy to let us in to sit in the lovely garden until we could order at midday! We then ordered a carvery & it was without a doubt the best carvery I have... More

Went for a meal with my three grown kids. One had great fish and chips really well done. Another had the rib eye steak which was ok. Great sides of crunchy onion rings too. Then the burgers arrived and oh dear the chicken and classic burger fillings were ok but why put it in a ciabatt bread roll which we... More

Called in for lunch and the food was ok, but took quite a while to come. Not a lot to complain about but not much to rave about either. Just an average pub really. Not worth the additional stop on our journey home!

Based on good reviews and gluten free options we decided to stop off for lunch on our way to Exeter. This was awful and we'll have to take the waitresses word for it as per the title. Quite pleasant inside but chilly and I had to wait 1 hour 10 minutes for an omelette which arrived disguised as scrambled egg.... More

The service at The Nog is second to none, Will & Amy do anything to ensure their customers leave happy, nothing is too much for these guys. The food is great and really good value for money.

Googled this place on the way back from Portsmouth. Top pub tucked away little parking across the road & dog friendly which ticks our box. The food here was just fab, homemade & plenty of it. If you like Guinness then try a pint of Dark Side by the Bath Ales, bloody lovely this was. Try this place as you... More

I've been to a lot of place both in Middlesbrough and London and this place is the nicest food I've ever tasted! Highly recommended! I'm a regular in here and the staff even know my name they know what I want to drink and they even know what I order! Really friendly! I'm even sat in the nogg writing this!
