Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well what an absolute treat that was! Yes I’m a bit biased on the co-owner (because Donna is my oldest friend) - but - took another friend here who is very particular about what she eats and she hasn’t stopped raving. Afternoon tea couldn’t be...faulted …. Quality bread, choice of fillings, cakes and scones to die for. Everything home made and top notch. But what really makes this place is its heart, its warmth and it’s welcome. That genuineness is something you can’t fake or - put a price on. Brands and franchises are two-a-penny but an independent family business that oozes personality is a community asset. Support it - take your mum - or just treat yourself!More

Tucked away tea room but we managed to find it. Pre ordered afternoon tea and it arrived as requested. Beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Too much cake tho! Had to take surplus home. Friendly staff providing a good service. Can see why I would need...to book as there were no empty tables which I can see why after tasting the food. 🙂More

Very nicely decorated tea shop, great service and friendly staff but we have 2 niggles in respect that we all ordered a sandwich from the menu, but when the waitress took our order she said it was on brown seeded bread and didn’t give an...offer of white bread. Well 2 of us have IBS and struggle with seeds, so it would have been nice to be offered white bread. Secondly the menu says that the sandwiches come with salad and crisps, but the sandwich came with the lettuce already on it, were not keen on lettuce and in our opinion it should have been made as a side.More

Booked a table here for my mum, daughter and I as a little treat for my mum on her birthday. Gorgeous little place down a secret Alley way, I'm assuming that's why it's called 'The Secret Tea Room' Lovely, friendly staff and the sandwiches, quiche...and cakes were really nice and fresh. Will definitely return next time we are in Stone. Would recommend booking as it is only small and not many tables.More

What a super little tea shop. Visited with my friend today, lovely friendly welcome. Great choice of sandwiches all freshly made, quiches etc. Homemade cakes which was a difficult choice due to the various ones. I chose the double chocolate and vanilla and was not...disappointed at all. Tea served with China pots and fresh tea. Definitely will visit again. Staff amazingMore

We booked afternoon tea. Very reasonably priced at £22 each. The cafe is run by two absolutely lovely ladies. They were very accommodating of my friend's vegan diet, and the food was absolutely delicious. They even warmed the scones up for us when we were...ready for them. Tea was served in little china cups with a small teapot each, and there was a large range of herbal and fruit teas as well as normal tea to choose from. We couldn't finish all the food and they happily boxed up our cakes for us. This was a treat for our joint birthday and I'd definitely recommend. The cafe is also very clean, cosy and inviting.More

The Secret Tearoom is an absolute gem. Everything about it is perfect - the decor, the china and the gorgeous cakes and sandwiches. I had the best corned beef sandwich ever! You will always be sure of the warmest welcome from the lovely ladies who...run it and they seem to know everyone by name! It is our favourite place to go for coffee, tea or lunch.More

We came from America and were introduced to this lovely Tea Room and their marvelous owners. Their kindness extended not only to the patrons inside, but also to a special passerby outside. They made such a hit with us we will ask to go back...each time we return to the UK.More
