I admit I found myself very well in this Indian restaurant; perfect food with a balance in spiciness that I rarely found in Italy, which makes me review all my previous experiences. The service is perfect in every aspect, from the friendliness of the managers to the attention of the customer, the hearty dishes and absolutely average prices. It obviously lacks a noteworthy beer, despite being in England, but you can't have it all except really great cuisine. I had been told very well about Indian cuisine in the UK and I must say that, at Vujon, expectations were more than met, indeed, if possible it went further. We ate appetizers rich in sauces (bhajee, samosa and chicken) and unique dishes (I still chicken) served with rice and Indian bread (say was chapati) all spending, along with drinking, about 20 pounds each and leaving the place definitely satiated. If you're in cute Croydon, a ride is almost a must.

First time of going to this local restaurant, after family members recommended going for a mid week meal. Pleasantly surprised and the weekday deal (£14.95 for started, main, side and rice or nan bread) is good value for money especially as you order from their regular menu. Lemonade was non branded as flat, but the food was tasty, served nice and hot and made a nice midweek change to cooking at home. Whilst we paid with a card, I think the preference is for cash.

Voujon in Rayne is always superb.
The chef cooks amazing food and the specials are outstanding. If you have a specific request, such as a hotter than normal dish, they will try and make this happen.
My husband has requested an egg curry next time we go and they’re going to make it for him.
On a Tuesday evening the have a band! Male singer, incredible voice, he also plays his guitar. His partner sings and plays the saxophone!
We get up and dance!!!

Appalling fall from previous greatness. I have used Vujon for a dozen years and had many excellent meals. I have been generous and given it many stars over a long period of time. It is very clear that the change of management is disastrous. Firstly, pre-lockdown, came the announcement that alcohol will no longer be served in the restaurant on religious grounds. A way to immediately and efficiently alienate a huge tranche of loyal clientele.
We persisted to support via takeaway, and the last straw came this evening. Knowing that it would be a busy evening we ordered online on the dot of 6pm when orders are accepted. The delivery was promised at 7pm and arrived at 8.35. It had been badly handled and the oils were all over the inside of the bags. All attempts on both phone lines to contact them to enquire about progress of the delivery, which was just around the corner, were met by constant engaged tone.
The main dish that I ordered was chicken bakara. It was massively over salted to the point of being inedible. So after a ninety minute delay my meal consisted of rice and bhaji.
I am so disappointed that this once great restaurant has gone right down the tube.
AVOID. So sorry. They don’t have to do much to retain a large base of consumers but seem to be getting nearly everything wrong.

Had meal with my Uncle and Aunt who said that this was a fantastic restaurant. They were not wrong. The service was first class. I had the lamb & potato balti. It was delicious. The lamb was so tender and the best I have ever had at any Indian restaurant I have been to. 5⭐ A++++

We Visited Vujon this evening for an excellent meal and the usual attentive, friendly service. As always the food is great, and now alcohol is being served again, enhanced by a beer and a glass of wine. We will be back for regular visits.

Just back from another excellent evening at Vujon. Terrific flavours, really friendly service, and excellent value (Banquet Night offer). Our kids (3 & 6) received loads of attention which made them feel special and meant they behaved well all evening - bonus!

My husband and I have been ordering takeaway meals for our family here regularly for over a year or so (including throughout lockdown) and, having tried other places, we agree this is the best curry in Croydon. What makes it even better is that the staff are very friendly, polite, and welcoming. The restaurant is presentable, clean, and there is a lovely ambience. My husband enjoys the chicken madras, I like the tikka masala, and our 4-year-old loves the korma and Peshwari naan. We've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all superb, but we have settled on our favourites. I recommend Vujon enthusiastically to anyone in the area looking for a really tasty meal for the whole family.

Went here on New Year’s Day with friends, and we all had the meal deal, who was a starter main and side, we all shared and every single dish was delicious. The staff were helpful and nothing was too much. Highly recommend and will return 👍🏼

This is normally the best local option for eating out but despite booking online 2 days prior and being registered with the restaurant we were not informed that they had stopped serving alcohol or allowed bring your own until we arrived. This spoiled our evening as it did not meet our expectation. This change is not even displayed on their website

Really good food - totally ruined by a shocking service. Table booked for 2100, turned up on time - but was clear that starters weren’t really an option and everything rushed thereafter. If 2100 is too late - decline the booking, really simple.

have used this restaurant for months and has always been good. They have dropped the ball though. Vindaloo wasn't hot and sent chicken tikka without masala. Called the restaurant and it is our fault for not specifying. Really rude customer service and zero apology. Gonna find a new regular indian

Just returned from dinner at this lovely restaurant. Can’t believe we haven’t been here before. Excellent value for money with their “Banquet menu” (Monday - Wednesday). So much choice we will have to go back again and again.
Charming staff and beautifully cooked and presented dishes.

Been going here for years. Lovely food. Well presented. Polite staff. Only just recently reopened for walk ins/reservations. For some reason no longer serving alcohol.... or BYO. Just softs and no alcohol beers and wines. No sure why the owner didn’t really want to talk about it. Also they are not part of the eat out to help out scheme. Missing a trick there I think as place was empty sadly whilst we were there.

I came to this restaurant for the first time as was passing by and decided to stop and try it out as there are a lot of not so nice restaurant in London and to our surprise when we walked in was greeted by Abdul and the restaurant was spotless clean and very well lit and we we ordered our food and when it arrived it was delicious and cooked to perfection and was not to spicy and was perfect and we rearly enjoyed our meals and I'm a vegetarian and my partner ordered a chicken curry and it was also 100% cooked to perfection and would recommend anyone who wants a awsome curry with great atmosphere to try this restaurant as its the best I've been to in many yrs and thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and the prices are not high and we will come back again in the near future
