Nice pub, but disappointed with the food. Had steak ciabatta. Steak was a bit tough and not much of it. Should have mentioned whilst there. Staff friendly though

Lovely Day

Great restaurant, lovely food - best fish and chips anywhere, attentive staff - can't fault it. We have been here several times and have never had a bad experience.

Excellent Service!

Team Christmas lunch - We had a private room which was fantastic,it was decorated and set up for us when we arrived. The service was excellent, our waitress was attentive and on the ball throughout, she was brilliant. The reason we gave 4 stars was...only because some of the mains were a little dry and cold and maybe sitting around for bit, but some of the mains were great. On the whole the food was very very good.More

Decent bar and location but average food.

Its a nice location and a good bar. I felt the food was very average and it's not cheap. Almost £8 for a very small pudding feels a bit of a rip off. We had a Sunday lunch here a few weeks ago and left...feeling the same.More

Great place for an event

We enjoyed a fantastic night at The Castle on Friday evening. There were over 100 people attending and the process of organising the event was made so easy by the team. We enjoyed a pre arranged selection of drinks and delicious canapés and grazing boards...throughout the night. The atmosphere was great and staff supper helpful and friendly. We are already planning our return next year!More

A great Sunday Roast Dinner

A great Sunday roast dinner with my family including a nine year old. The food was superb with great quality of roast beef and roast pork. These were accompanied by a very good selection of vegetables and Yorkshire Puddings. The meat was exceptionally tender and...all the food was hot, which is great considering arhat it was a very busy service. The portions were good and the meal was great value. All the staff were very friendly and attentive which together with the food, made for a very good lunch.More

Quality pub and quality grub. Excellent burgers and really friendly staff. Nice layout with a lot of different areas and rooms for private hire, with catering laid on. There were about 50 of us and we were very well looked after.More

We do have disabled access, to the right of the front door there is a small alley which leads to the side entrance that does not have steps :)
